I am really looking forward to Sunday! We had a taste of what is in store this morning at LifeWay when Jeff Harris, pastor of GracePoint Church in San Antonio, TX spoke to our employees. Jeff is in his mid-thirties and has been a great influence on me as I pursued the dialogues with younger ministers this year. He hit the nail on the head. The style, methods, etc., are not the issues. It is the message that is the key. However we choose to pursue ministry, it is the message that is central.
We will hear from other outstanding young ministers on Sunday and I believe take a giant step forward. There will be a good representation from convention personnel who will be there to show support and to let you know that you have been heard and that we all believe in you and welcome you in the future God has planned for Southern Baptists. These are exciting times and what we can do together is significant. Bless you all. See many of you Sunday afternoon.
