Share a Scripture...

We’ve been awestruck by your wonderful responses and tender hearts towards God and His plans for Deeper Still! Thank you for praying and dedicating this weekend in advance to God. We would love for you to share a scripture or a special word God has put on your heart as we approach Deeper Still. I’ll get us started…

I say: The LORD is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in Him. Lamentations 3:24

Hoping in HIM today! Love you ladies!

Trading the Twins

Recently, the LifeWay Women’s Event Team had a training time for the 2008 City Coordinators (the local gals that help as liaisons in the different cities where an event will be held). I was asked to share about the altar calls and the role of the Encouragers. There is one particular point I shared with the City Coordinators that keeps coming to mind and I want to share it with you.

Women come to the altar (and the events) with the full spectrum of prayer requests. One woman will ask for

Inside Scoop...on Kay

“She is NOT in her seventies!” I think those were my first thoughts upon seeing Kay Arthur in person for the first time. Maybe I was aware of the age thing because it was my birthday and my birthday wish was that I could look as good as Kay Arthur while I’m in my forties!

Kay is so together and…trendy. This woman is relevant and on top of what is happening in our culture. However, the most amazing thing about Kay

#5 What to Bring...

Hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend! I can hardly believe that we are now just days away from Deeper Still. I know many of us have had this on our calendar for quite sometime. As the vans, buses and cars head for Nashville on Friday, we want to be sure you don't forget the essentials. (these are in no particular order!)

  1. Your ticket! You received a wristband in the mail, and you'll want to be sure to bring it with you. Get that wristband on your RIGHT wrist before you enter the building. We'll be checking those as you enter! Help us spread the word in your group! vl2l5523-small-20070904090110.jpg

God's Word! Our speakers this weekend LOVE God's Word and are passionate about the truth. I'm sure we'll be logging plenty of miles on the pages of Scripture, so don't forget to bring yours!

    vl2l6045-small-20070904090111.jpg

Writing instrument! We don't care what you bring....pen, pencil, crayon, lipstick...just have something to write with. You don't want to miss the truth God has designed for YOU this weekend!

    gv7z8470-1-small-20070904090112.jpg

Notebook! You'll receive a listening guide where you can take notes, but you probably have a special place where you record what the Lord says to you. If so, by all means bring it along.

Patience pants and a smile! For all you extroverts, you have the chance to meet over tons of new friends this weekend! Wear your smile and use your waiting time to get to know other women!

    More from Priscilla....

Well sisters, I think God still speaks through donkeys! I'm not kidding. I know of one who talks all the time. His name is Flash (we should have named him Balaam). We got him by accident. I actually don't own him; my neighbors do. I feel a little sense of ownership but don't share any of the responsibility so I better give them all of the credit.

    img_0007-small-20070904091724.jpg

Over a year ago, Flash wondered onto my friend Rachel's property. She and her family figured they's just take care of him until the rightful owners came to claim him but no one ever showed up. If I was a betting woman, I promise I'd put my money on the fact that God himself dropped this creature straight from the vault of heaven onto our piece of land just to give me some good illustrations. Or maybe I've just made God so weary of my less then keen ability to

    #4 Should I or Shouldn’t I????

Should I bring a sweater or jacket? Should I stop at this restroom…I don’t really need to go right now!

Big questions….but important things to consider when attending Deeper Still: The Event.

It has been in the triple digits in Nashville…do I really need to take a sweater or jacket? YES! Although you may not need a sweater outside, you never know what the temperatures might be in the Sommet Center, Curb Center, local restaurants, or even your hotel. It is best to layer or carry a light sweater or jacket so you will be comfortable and able to keep your attention and focus on what God wants you to hear and learn during Deeper Still.

And should you stop at the restroom? Come on ladies…of course, the answer is always YES! Take advantage of using the restrooms in your hotel, restaurants, and of course, the Sommet Center and Curb Center. The lines will be long during the breaks but there is usually plenty of time. Don’t be afraid to use the Men’s Restrooms that are converted to Women’s Restrooms during the event. The men know to stay away! And anytime you see a short line…GO FOR IT!

    Inside Scoop...on Priscilla

Do we love Priscilla or what!

Honestly, the first time I learned I would get to be on the event team for Priscilla I didn't know much about her. I'd grown up in the Dallas area and loved her dad's preaching, Dr. Tony Evans, but at that point I was not familiar with any of Priscilla's Bible studies.

Our team went to dinner and I thought, "Priscilla is so fun. If I still lived in Dallas I would love to hang out with her." Then, after hearing and watching Priscilla teach God's word that weekend, I thought, "Wow! This Priscilla Shirer speaks God's Word with such authority. It is obvious God's anointing is on her. She reminds me of a modern day Samuel…set apart for God…except she doesn't literally live in the church…and she is a female." Refer to 1 Samuel 1:19-28 and 1 Samuel 3 to get the idea.

After that event, I gathered "my Bible study girls" and we spent Monday evenings "with Priscilla" leading us through God's word and challenging us to hear God's voice. What an amazing journey! Every time I get to hear God through Priscilla I love her more and I'm challenged to go Deeper Still in my relationship with God.

I would love to hear from any of the Going Beyond ladies in the DC or Houston areas. How have you been blessed by God through Priscilla's teaching and Bible studies? What about the way Priscilla leads a group in prayer?!

    Michelle

    Inside Scoop....on Beth

Before meeting Beth for the first time at Living Proof Live in Portland, Oregon I’d led or participated in many of her Bible studies. I’d watched the videos weekly with other women for years and felt like I knew Beth personally. You know what I’m talking about…you feel like Beth is your friend, holding your hand through those Bible studies, guiding you through God’s Word. (And often she helps keep you sane…especially if you are a stay-at-home mom with preschoolers!)

When I reflect upon my first meeting with Beth, I remember thinking,

What Questions Would You Ask the Panel?

    Hey ladies,

Imagine you were able to sit down for coffee with Kay, Beth, and Priscilla...actually, I think Priscilla loves tea. Anyway, you get to chat with our three gifted Bible teachers and ask them any question you wish. What would you ask? A question about scripture? The color of their lipstick?

We would love to address some of your questions during the panel discussion session on Saturday. So, please send your questions for Kay, Beth, and Priscilla below where it says post a comment.

We will NOT post your questions at this time and will maintain confidentiality if we use your question on the blog or in the panel discussion session Saturday.

The Panel Discussion is one of my favorite sessions! Can't wait to hear your questions!

    #3 Staying With Your Group

Is it really possible to stay with my group when it is general admission seating? Yes and no…obviously, the smaller the group the easier the task. Remember, seats are on a first-come first-served basis and there is no saving of seats. If you are coming to Deeper Still with a group of four (or even twenty) you will probably be able to find a section of seats that will accommodate your group. However, the larger the group the more difficult this task becomes.

Here are a few suggestions to consider as you think about seating…

    1. Everyone bring your cell phones and create a list of names and cell phone numbers in advance to distribute to your group. If you end up getting separated, no problem…you can still reconnect.

    2. No Saving Seats! How will we ever sit together?! You may want to form small groups (no more than 10) or a buddy system if you are coming with a large group. This may also work best if you have a large group and some want to run for the floor seats while others prefer staying on the main concourse level avoiding stairs and steps.

    3. It will be fun! These venues have large group events weekly. The personnel are there to help you and serve you. If you have problems finding seats ask someone from the arena to direct you to a section where seats are available.

Remember, it doesn’t matter where you sit because wherever it is…HE saved that seat for you!

    #2 Last Minute Stuff

When does the event begin? When do the doors open? Where did I put my wrist band that came in the mail?

These are a few of the last minute questions as we approach Deeper Still: the Event on Friday, September 7, 2007. Hopefully, we can help ease your mind with these suggestions.

The doors open at 6:00 pm. Deeper Still the Event begins at 7:00.

    gv7z9377-small-20070906101454.jpg

Ladies will begin lining up outside the Sommet and the Curb hours in advance. Remember, it is general admission seating meaning first-come, first-served. (Check out blog post: #3 Staying with Your Group on general admission seating suggestions).

If you choose to wait in line before the doors open remember to bring a water bottle and a snack. It will be hot at this time of day in Nashville. If you are sensitive to the sun or heat, wear a light shirt, sunscreen, hat, or even bring an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun's rays. You might want to bring a book, magazine, game, knitting, or something you enjoy to help pass the time.

    vl2l5502-small-20070906101456.jpg

Wear your "patience" pants and a smile and use this time to meet other women in line. Introduce yourself to other ladies, find out where they are from, and enjoy this time of fellowship with women of God. You never know how God may use this time waiting in line as an opportunity for ministry or developing friendships.

Wear your armband on your right wrist. You should have received an armband in place of a ticket for Deeper Still: The Event. This armband serves as your ticket for both days of Deeper Still. If you lost your armband or have other problems with your armband, go to Will Call. Will Call will open at 5:00 pm Friday.

    vl2l5425-small-20070906101457.jpg

When the doors open at 6:00 pm hold up your right wrist and flash that armband and we'll get this party started!

    Calling ALL Bloggers!

It has come to our attention that there is a group of LPL "Siestas" (bloggers) that will be sporting some new shirts at Deeper Still on Saturday.

    pic08942-2-small-20070906104307.jpg

If you are a "Siesta" or have been part of the Deeper Still blog, we want to meet you! Please meet at the main entrance of the Sommet Center at the beginning of the Saturday afternoon break. We're gonna get a group photo and you can meet some of your fellow bloggers face to face! See you tomorrow!

    A Note from Travis...

Hey, Deeper Still bloggers! Well, we must be getting close. I can tell because I can't sleep. I just got up out of bed because I could tell that it was futile to try and sleep. I am usually a very sound sleeper. I mean, really sound. I mean, once when I was little, my sister vacuumed my face (there's a story there) and I didn't even wake up. I sleep soundly. So, when I am up at 2:45am, I know something is up (besides just me...harhar).

God is already stirring in my heart an excitement for this weekend that I can hardly contain. I can't wait. And I hope you are feeling the same way. I feel so fortunate to be able to be there...you know the odds of being a man and getting to attend this event are not very high. So, yes, I am grateful. I am excited to worship with all of you. And I am really pumped to be taught by these three amazing teachers. I am asking the Lord to give me a LIFE WORD this weekend. I am asking Him to begin even now to change my thought processes and belief systems that need to be changed in order to walk fully in what He is going to teach me and reveal to me this weekend. I want to be in a posture to receive it all.

Let's all pray together that we would all have a heart to hear even the tough things from Him this weekend. Let's take this moment in time to really slow down our busy lives, be still, and hear the voice of God. You know, I do believe that if we want to go deeper, we need to take time to be still.

Now see...somebody needs to cross stitch that. HARHARHAR I am just kidding. It is so late...maybe I shouldn't be writing this now. : >)

Seriously, I pray a blessing of peace for you as you prepare yourselves to be here. I pray that everything with work...school...babysitters...kid transporters...husbands...your travel...parents that you take care of that you are leaving behind for the weekend...your hotel...traffic...that in everything you do, the peace of the Lord will be with you. And I pray that even in the craziness of getting here, you will be able to be still...and know that He. Is. God.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 says, "Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you." At all times. In every way. That's good stuff.

I can hardly wait for 7:00pm Friday. Be ready to worship with everything you got. This is a "hold nothing back" weekend.

Thank you for letting me share these few minutes with you. I am going to try to sleep now. And I hope nobody in my family vacuums my face.

    See you Friday!

    Travis
    Gal. 2:20

    T'was the Night Before...Deeper Still

You know those feelings you get on Christmas Eve...excitement, expectation, and a sudden rush of energy after a long day when you should be exhausted...that is me!

The LifeWay Event team spent all day at the Sommet and the Curb getting ready for your arrival! It feels like we've been preparing the house for family and friends coming for a great Christmas celebration! Even tonight, our wonderful production team will be working through the night like busy little elves!

Like you, we have waited all year for Deeper Still: The Event to finally arrive. And now--it is here! Read Mary's praises in Luke 1:46-55 to get some idea of the anticipation and expectation we are feeling as we approach this weekend. His blessings and favor are not only for those in the past but "His mercy is from generation to generation." And that includes us!

We anticipate many blessings by the gift of your presence this weekend. It is a pleasure to meet you at these Women's Events. It is an honor to serve you. You are truly beautiful women who are passionate about Jesus!

Even more, we anticipate the blessings of God to fall upon all of us as we worship Him in Spirit and Truth and go Deeper Still in His Word. It may not really be the night before Christmas, but I don't a night of anticipation much better than this!

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night! Sleep well!

    Me and My Man

Hey, You Darlin' Things! My man and I got to Nashville about two hours ago, grabbed a bite at Arnold's (real home cooking, no rice pilaf), checked into the hotel and have just come to the arena for sound check and prayer. It's always an awe-inspiring, nearly terrifying thing to come to the arena before all of you do. It's like a huge, empty vacuum - appearing even bigger with no one in it. And, yet, the Presence of God pulsates like an enormous drumming heart, anticipating our praise. I could nearly drop to the floor with awe over the thought that He is anxious for our arrival. That He Himself longs for us - brittle jars with clay feet - to meet Him here.

    bethinsommet-1-20070907140409.jpg

I can hardly voice the depths of my gratitude to God that He has allowed me this time to serve with Kay and Priscilla. I have no greater respect for any two Bible teachers on earth. The last time we did this, Pris and I were so blown away by Kay that we could hardly keep the hair on our heads. God is titanic in her. And Priscilla??? Good grief, God has gifted that young thang! Oh, Sisters, may Christ be lifted up and ten thousands of women drawn unto Him. I want to know Him! I want to love Him a hundred times more when I leave here tomorrow. I want to hear His voice! I am so honored to serve you in His Precious Name. I can't wait to see your faces! Come hungry!!

    I love you!

    Two Hours Before Doors Open!

    Hey Girls!
It is less than two hours before the doors open at the Sommet and Curb Center for Deeper Still: The Event! But while we are waiting, I thought you might like to see some behind the scenes photos from last night as the Sommet and Curb were changed from ice hockey arena and basketball court thanks to the most incredible production team in the world!

    Live at the Curb!

    Wow! Wow! Wow!
Here we are liveat the Curb! We just finished our sound check and have been watching things come together at the Sommet. What an absolutely amazing time of preparation. Your prayers are being answered in this very moment sisters! God is here in every detail. He's ever-faithful, ever-present. I cannot wait until you get here. I absolutely can't wait to hear your precious voices singing praises.

Okay, I have to tell you that I got really side-tracked for a minute. I'm inside the Curb arena and I've been listening to and watching the sound check Sommet sound check! The live feed is working! It's absolutely wild! I could see every detail... I am telling you friends, we are going to have the best seats around. Everything is so large and live, you will be BLOWN away.

I've gotta run. I spent too much time checking out Travis and Angela's haircuts while I watched their sound check! You will get here soon! I can't wait!

    Live from the Curb

    They Came!

They actually came! The CURB doors are open. This is one of my favorite times of the events...so much excitement as women enter the doors. So much anticipation! So many months of praying, and the women actually came! We are so excited here at THE CURB. The fiber optic signal is working, and working well! Travis waved at us as we were orienting our volunteers. We cannot wait to actually experience the Word. One of my favorite aspects of a smaller event (venue) is that you see women when they walk in on Friday, some very burdened and distracted. And you recognize those same faces on Saturday as they are leaving and see the peace that has overcome them. It's hard to recognize the same faces in a mass of 18,000. I'm so excited to get to know some of these women! Have fun!

    LIVE from the Sommet!

Hey ladies! We are now coming to you LIVE from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee. WOW! This is amazing!

    groupoutsidesommet-2-20070910084756.jpg

You know what it is like to stand outside the gates waiting for an amusement park to open…and then WHOOSH the gates open and a flood of people enter? THAT IS WHAT JUST HAPPENED AT THE SOMMET CENTER! You can sense the excitement in the air. If I could use one word to describe the spirit of these ladies entering the arena it would be "expectant." And I don't mean that everyone entering is pregnant! However, it is that same kind of feeling…you've waited nine months and now it is time for the thrill of a lifetime!

The volunteers are smiling and welcoming each lady. It is so fun to observe the crowd and watch different ladies connect with friends or someone they know but did not realize would be at Deeper Still.

I'll keep you posted as this evening continues. Until then…keep your arms and legs in the vehicle and hang on to God for the ride of a lifetime…or throw your arms in the air praising Him and allow yourself to be shaken and moved into a new place in life!

    Amazing Worship...

Right now I am listening to what sounds like the voices of angels as we worship at the Sommet. There are few words to describe the sound...maybe the best is simply to say "heaven on earth.
    _mg_9699-20070907205010.jpg

"After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were robed in white with palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!"

    Revelation 7:9-10

    God is amazing....

You know we toss around the word "amazing" alot these days. It's become a buzz word for everything from the love of your life to a cup of coffee. Let me just say right here and right now that only God Alone is AMAZING!! What we are witnessing this night...this weekend...is a supernatural divine appointment for 22,000 individuals with a most personal God. A God that has orchestrated each life to meet with Him here. As I sit here, just minutes into the event, God has already made Himself well known in this place. From the sweet attitudes of the women coming in, to the WORSHIP, to the good natured fun and then prayers of our teachers...GOD IS HERE AND HE IS IN CHARGE!!! May His WORD and His SPIRIT continue to REIGN!!!!

    Friday Night...Signing Off!

    _mg_9910-20070907214537.jpg

Laughter, love, and prayers...we shared some great moments this evening! How wonderful to hear the voice of God speak through Kay, Beth, and Priscilla through their video journeys and as they welcomed us to join them in going Deeper Still this weekend. Priscilla brought us God's Word in a way that only she can...we were blessed and heard HIS voice. Don't stay up too late ladies!

    No Shackles In the Curb!

There just are no words to describe the volume in this place right now! Mandisa is on stage leading a group of rowdy women in "Shackles"—the Curb Center gals are having a party!

We've experienced an outpouring of God's presence and every woman in this room is soaked! What a night. Wouldn't you agree that God is ending a drought in so many lives tonight, in these very moments?

Girls, I'll be honest. Tonight as I watched you all file into the CURB center, I wondered what our simulcast experience might be... but as the praise team belted out the first song nobody held back.

Curb Ladies: I love your hearts! You were unashamed and grateful in your worship tonight and to be honest, the only word I can think of right now to describe you is pretty. My grandmother always said, "pretty is as pretty does" and tonight as we poured our hearts out to God, it was pretty. Your sweet and open hearts are just downright beautiful. Thank you for coming tonight expecting something of God and I'm so glad you received what He was so ready to give!

Just can't wait to be with you again in the morning!

    Just call me Flash…

Driving home from the Curb Center last night, I realized that unlike Michelle—who has been blogging her heart out since the end of August—I haven’t introduced myself. But for now, you can just call me Flash.

I went to bed last night asking God to show me the areas in my life that I’m resistant to what He wants. I don’t know about you, but I dig my heels in every now and again. And just thinking about Priscilla dragging that donkey reminds me of moments when I‘ve attempted a stand-off with God. Praise God, and for heaven’s sake, thank Him because He’s persistent. He’s kept after me. And girls, I could tell just by some of the expressions on your faces, He’s been pursuing you, too. Last night, so many of you conceded and decided to give in to all the mercy and goodness God’s willing to extend.

I woke up this morning thinking about Flash—Priscilla has her donkey, Beth has her birddogs, and it remains to be heard what kind of animals are running around Kay’s house!

By the way, don’t you just love the way we’re getting to know these mighty women of God who are guiding us through the Word? After watching the intro video last night, don’t you all feel like these three are old friends—girls we’ve known all our lives?

Can’t wait to get to the Curb and experience all that’s in store!

    Blessings, Ladies!

We're Back Live from the Sommet!

WOW! That was a short night! We are back in the Sommet this morning. The doors are open and the seats are filling up fast!

I'm sitting here at the LIVE BLOG DESK! Can you guess I'm having the time of my life getting to share this incredible work of God with you!

I'm sitting here with Holly Thompson, Channel 4 NBC Morning and Midday Show Anchor! I wanted you to hear her perspective about Deeper Still: The Event!

BLOWN AWAY! WOW, it is amazing to see how God is moving in these women's lives. You can literally feel the holy presence of the Lord. It's like a refreshing rain that is helping re-energize our spirit, our love of God. I'm reading Priscilla's He Speaks to Me every morning, and every day I'm waking up to a whole new revelation from the Lord. OK...but let me just say, I actually HEARD Priscilla for the first time last night and it was nothing short of INCREDIBLE! Her words so ministered to the hearts here and it was incredibly evident as I prayed with various women at the altar in their need as they were broken...just crying out to God.

Lord, we praise You and we are so excited about how You're continuing to work in all our lives. You are glorious! What a precious time of both worship, fellowship, and communion with You.

Thanks Holly for your tender heart and sharing it with us on the blog. You are a precious woman of God.

In your tears, your lifted hands, and your bowed knees, I am moved as I sense God at work among you. His presence is thick in this place and we are a grateful people! And I don't know what else to do in this moment except pray:

We praise You, God, for such a clear and strong word You gave through Beth. Lord, with full hearts we ask, who are we that You have brought us this far? God we praise you for a love that is unmatched and favor that we could never earn. What more could we say to You, God? For Your word's sake, and according to your own heart, You have done great things here among us today. And we wait with great expectation for more from You, God because You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Father be blessed and lifted high among us today. It is in the mighty name of Jesus that we ask these things. Amen.

    What a Ruckus!

We got an earfull over here at the Curb and what happens at the Curb, stays at the Curb! One things for sure, you can count on Kay, Pricilla and Beth to shoot straight with you! We could have talked all afternoon—thanks, Curb Ladies, for asking all the right questions!

    It is Pouring in Nashville!

It literally is raining buckets in Nashville. However, the downpour is also taking place inside the Sommet. For almost two hours, Kay has honestly and openly shared God's Word. We have been pouring over God's Word and now are drenched by God's cleansing forgiveness and mercy.

There is still so much more to come this afternoon as we go Deeper Still and hear from Kay, Beth, and Priscilla during the panel question and answer time and a closing challenge.

More to come...bring on the flood Lord!

    Deeper Still...

"The instruction of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise. The precepts of the LORD are right, making the heart glad, the commandment of the LORD is radiant, making the eyes light up." Psalm 19:7-8 (HCSB)

In the last moments of Deeper Still: The Event a young woman named Amy walked up to me and wanted to pray to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior. As Amy listened to God's Word come alive this weekend she said she couldn't return home without knowing Jesus, the real Jesus these women at Deeper Still love and worship so much.

Amy received the ticket from a friend whose mother passed away recently. Amy said, "Someone died so that I could be here this weekend. And Jesus died so I could be here this weekend."

Yes, Jesus died so that we could all be here this weekend. He is worthy of our worship. As Amy left her face was radiant with a joy and peace that comes from knowing a loving, forgiving Savior.

May your heart be glad and your face radiant as you continue to go Deeper Still...

    Amoebas...and Going Deeper Still

Most people know about amoebas or know what they look like even if they've never seen one under a microscope. Amoebas are those little parasite type things that huddle together and move together. One gigantic amoeba sums up the women who enter the doors at Deeper Still: The Event on Friday and Saturday.

    More About Amoebas...

Let's clear one thing up…just because I referred to all of us as one big amoeba, I did NOT intended to say that we are parasites! No one said anything about this so I think you understood my original intent: as women we love community and unity within the body of believers! This unity and community within the local church and Bible studies helps us grow and develop in our faith and leads us deeper still.

    Love Letters...

Hey gals! Do we love our sweet sisters Kay, Beth, and Priscilla? YES WE DO! I love the way they challenge us to go Deeper Still in God's Word and make us laugh at the same time! I don't know if you realized...Kay had NO IDEA Beth and Priscilla were going to pull this stunt before the panel discussion!

The LifeWay Women's Event Team heard your grateful hearts all weekend but there is no way we can pass on all your comments and love. So, we wanted to provide a place where you could post your "love letters" to our three women of God. Let them know they are loved and how much you appreciate their obedience and faithfulness to God.

We love you Kay, Beth, and Priscilla! Thanks for your love and laughter!

    Chew on it...

I am so grateful for the opportunity God gave me to be a part of Deeper Still Nashville! WOW- He really blew me away through the teaching of His Word by all three ladies-the "rhema" was powerful…

The challenge we now face is how to process the almost overwhelming amount of great stuff we took in. Have you ever taken a bite of your favorite food and realized that you were going to have to concentrate and chew on it a while before swallowing it so you didn't miss any of the great flavor or taste? That's sort of the way I feel about this weekend-there is no way I can just swallow it whole…I need to break it down and chew on it piece by piece till I can take in the truths and let them change my life.

So in order to do that,

    The Truth About Sex

    Greetings sisters!
I hope that you were just as blessed at the Deeper Still Event this weekend as Miss Beth, Miss Kay and I were. It was a THRILL to be with you and spend time together in God's word.
If you stayed until the end on Saturday then you got to be a part of the question and answer session. Needless to say, we had so much fun and laughed so hard that our sides hurt. I had hand prints on my knees from slapping them so hard. The three of us never know what we are going to say or how that part of the event will turn out so we were SOOOO surprised by the unexpected surge of laughter and hilarity that erupted during that time. It was a BLAST.

You'll recall, one of the questions was about how to make marriage work more smoothly; specifically, how to get our husbands to speak our love language. After Miss Kay gave such a Biblically sound answer (as only she can) we began joking about how much sex plays a roll in this as well. We jokingly suggested that

    Reflections...Session One with Priscilla

Honestly, there is no way I can give you a quick summary of the word God brought through Priscilla on Friday night of Deeper Still: The Event. Even if I typed in word for word the message that came from her lips, there is no way to repeat the anointed word from God spoken on Friday night.

    MG 0011

Priscilla began by explaining that we all had come ready to hear a word from God. She went further by defining the meaning of the Greek word rhema. The RHEMA, word from God, is when God speaks directly to you as you apply the Bible's teaching to a specific subject in your life. When God takes something general and makes it specific to you.
