A Note from Travis...
Hey, Deeper Still bloggers! Well, we must be getting close. I can tell because I can't sleep. I just got up out of bed because I could tell that it was futile to try and sleep. I am usually a very sound sleeper. I mean, really sound. I mean, once when I was little, my sister vacuumed my face (there's a story there) and I didn't even wake up. I sleep soundly. So, when I am up at 2:45am, I know something is up (besides just me...harhar).
God is already stirring in my heart an excitement for this weekend that I can hardly contain. I can't wait. And I hope you are feeling the same way. I feel so fortunate to be able to be there...you know the odds of being a man and getting to attend this event are not very high. So, yes, I am grateful. I am excited to worship with all of you. And I am really pumped to be taught by these three amazing teachers. I am asking the Lord to give me a LIFE WORD this weekend. I am asking Him to begin even now to change my thought processes and belief systems that need to be changed in order to walk fully in what He is going to teach me and reveal to me this weekend. I want to be in a posture to receive it all.
Let's all pray together that we would all have a heart to hear even the tough things from Him this weekend. Let's take this moment in time to really slow down our busy lives, be still, and hear the voice of God. You know, I do believe that if we want to go deeper, we need to take time to be still.
Now see...somebody needs to cross stitch that. HARHARHAR I am just kidding. It is so late...maybe I shouldn't be writing this now. : >)
Seriously, I pray a blessing of peace for you as you prepare yourselves to be here. I pray that everything with work...school...babysitters...kid transporters...husbands...your travel...parents that you take care of that you are leaving behind for the weekend...your hotel...traffic...that in everything you do, the peace of the Lord will be with you. And I pray that even in the craziness of getting here, you will be able to be still...and know that He. Is. God.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 says, "Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you." At all times. In every way. That's good stuff.
I can hardly wait for 7:00pm Friday. Be ready to worship with everything you got. This is a "hold nothing back" weekend.
Thank you for letting me share these few minutes with you. I am going to try to sleep now. And I hope nobody in my family vacuums my face.
See you Friday!

Travis,
The Lord used you in a mighty way this weekend. The praise and worship was just as rich as the Word taught by Priscilla, Beth, and Kay.
The last song ministered after the lunch break on Saturday really ministered to my spirit. I believe it was entitled Holy Is your Name or Lord, You are Holy! I would like to locate this song to add to my worship music. Could you please provide me with the correct name.
Continue to allow God to use you to speak to the heart of His people through music. You and the praise team are anointed to teach through lyrics and music to the heart of the nations.
God Bless

I worshipped at the Curb Center this weekend, and would love to have a list of the worship songs. Friday evening was pretty awesome, and there were some songs that I'd never heard. Does anyone know if there is any way I can get a copy of the playlist?
Thanks.

cg,
We'll work on getting a song list for the worship at the Curb. Travis will probably post the song list from the Sommet at his website.

Travis, you have no idea how your music and your sincere leading of worship has affected my life! My first encounter was in Louisville in 2000 and I have only missed you one year since. (LOVED the week in Baltimore filming The Patriarchs). Beth's Bible studies have led me to a deeper and more personal relationship with the One True God as I learn more of His Word and allow it to change me. I love that you and your Praise Team are never "performers," but are true worship leaders. I love that you direct the applause to Him and that each of the Living Proof events is all about Jesus. Tell Angela that I miss her recipes on your new website and that she has the most beautiful of voices. I can't sing here on earth, but I tell people at church that when I get to heaven, I'm going to be in your choir!
