Inside Scoop....on Beth

Before meeting Beth for the first time at Living Proof Live in Portland, Oregon I’d led or participated in many of her Bible studies. I’d watched the videos weekly with other women for years and felt like I knew Beth personally. You know what I’m talking about…you feel like Beth is your friend, holding your hand through those Bible studies, guiding you through God’s Word. (And often she helps keep you sane…especially if you are a stay-at-home mom with preschoolers!)

When I reflect upon my first meeting with Beth, I remember thinking,

“She is truly more beautiful in person than any photo or video, but the one word I’ve continued to use to describe Beth is...LOUD! Of course, Beth is exactly as you would expect—she squeezes the love right out of you with her hugs! Immediately, you feel like family. And always, your focus is turned toward Jesus.

I don’t remember the words said as we prayed that day with Travis, Mandisa, and others from the Praise team, but I do remember the emotion. I remember Beth in tears as she prayed earnestly to God for the women at that event. And as I observed her in the years since Portland, I don’t know that I’ve ever known anyone like Beth…such passion for God and a tender and compassionate heart.

Beth loves you ladies soooo much and wants you to know God’s deep love for you more than just about anything in this world. She wants you to go Deeper Still in God’s word and your relationship with Jesus.

I can’t help myself; I still think of Beth and think “loud. However, I love that Beth is loud and she is loud in a good way. Beth honestly and loudly lives out Hebrews 4:12 demonstrating the word of God alive through a beautiful, God-gifted Bible teacher. Yes, Beth is audibly loud but she is also LIVING LOUD and LOVING LOUD for JESUS!

I’d love to hear some of your first impressions about Beth and how God has used her Bible studies and her life to take you Deeper Still with Jesus…come on, be LOUD! Let us hear what God has done!

Michelle

I saw Beth for the first time in Nashville at the GEC in 2000 in December. I was new to her studies and I loved her teaching. Her love for God's Word is so contagious and she made His Word exciting for me. I was going thru a divorce and being a single mom and God used Beth and her studies as a HUGE ministering tool in my life. From the 1st conference in Nashville and all the others I have been too she gives ALL the Glory to God, period. She is a humble servant of God and the real deal. She does make you feel like you are her friend and her love for women is evident. It has been a blast being on this journey with her through God's Word and I am so thankful to Beth for teaching us and pouring herself out to us and thankful for her family. I appreciate how they minister to us too!!!

I first met Beth in person at the taping of "psalms of the Ascent" in Nashville. From the moment she opened her mouth I sat in awe as I knew I would. However, I thought I would be in awe of her.... but she made clear that I was in awe of my Jesus! When I got to speak to her, she hugged the breath out of and spoke words to me that were a soothing balm to my very soul. It sounds corny, I know, but God gave her words to say to me that I DESPERATELY needed. I told her she is my spiritual mama. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE Beth.... she has been my "Paul"....

I began studying Beth's teachings long before I ever even heard her loud voice. I fell in love with Jesus all over again when I began to see her authenticity and how she loved him sooooo much - I knew that that was the Jesus I wanted too. Not just the Jesus of church school Bible stories, but a real, authentic Christ who loved me soooo very much and cared about my deepest need. Beth's teachings and her way of explaining the word did that for me. She is awesome, and after about 3 years of studying with her, I finally got to see her in person at the Women of Faith pre-conference in D.C. this summer. It will knock your socks off how God uses her to get thru to those of us that need to go deeper still.

I haven't met Beth personally, but I know exactly what you mean. I've done two of her weekly video studies, and have been to a Living Proof Live event each of the last 3 years. Thru each study and event, God has reached thru the circumstances in my life and touched me thru her message. In one way or another, they have all be life-changing. I never cease to be amazed at how initimate she is with the Lord. This year, we are bringing two ladies who are new to Beth, and I'm so excited about what God has in store for each of us this weekend. Can't wait to see you in Nashville!

The first time I heard Beth speak was at Living Proof in Birmingham (Feb. 06). To say she fanned the flames of the fire I have for God, is to put it lightly! I wanted more and started a Bible Study group. None of us had participated in any of her studies. We are now hooked and will be starting our thrid one next week! Praise God! Four of us are driving up tomorrow! Whoo-Hoo...we are SO excited!!!

I did my first study (Paul) in 1999 and went to a "Beth Moore" conference in Akron, Ohio. The amazing thing was there were only about 200 women in this church. I am amazed at the journey God has taken Beth on and know that He has used His word through her in my life and many others lives so profoundly. I am so proud of the choices she has made to be, like the Velveteen Rabbit, "REAL" because she has not left her First Love, Jesus. Blessing and treasures as you go "Deeper Still"

When I think of Beth, I automatically think, God's love. I started studing under her about 2.5 yres ago and the journey has been indescribable. I am truly amazed; I have grown so much in the Lord and have found true freedom... tears fill my eyes now as I thank my God for sending her to us. For her many sacrifices, for her heart, for the way she runs full speed after our Lord, while bringing us along for the ride of our lives. My friends think I am a "Beth freak." My response, maybe, but mostly I am a Jesus freakand He shines so brightly through my "siesta". I consider it a privilage to sit under her teachings, even if only by DVD or the nose bleed sections, for I know she has spoken God's very live and active word into my life. For that I am eternally greatful.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Beth for letting God work through you! For a long time I felt the need for some depth in my study, so God lead me to a Beth Moore bible study at my church, Living Beyond Yourself (Fruits of the Spirit). Wow how my life has changed in the last 2 1/2 yrs. and 4 studies later:
Living Beyond Yourself
When Godly People Do UnGodly Things
Breaking Free
Daniel
I can't get enough.
Now, I have a group of family and friends that meet at my home on Tues. We finished Living Beyond Yourself the week before 7 of us went to the Sommet center to see the Event.
We are starting When Godly People, this Tues. I can hardly wait to see what God is going to do in the lives of these ladies.
Greatful heart,
Lori Kelley

Beth's teachings in Believing God and Breaking Free Bible studies taught me how to have a quiet time with God. She gave me courage to believe that God was Who He said He was and could do what He says He can do. Because of learning her 5-statement pledge of faith and learning how to pray God's Word over my panic attacks, I've been panic free for months. I now facilitate her studies at my church and facilitate one of her studies in the summer in my home. Beth is truly the real thing and her teaching is the real thing! I praise God that He enabled her to share Him and testify about Him to me! He wooed me back to Him through her Bible studies so He could set me free from fear!
