T'was the Night Before...Deeper Still
You know those feelings you get on Christmas Eve...excitement, expectation, and a sudden rush of energy after a long day when you should be exhausted...that is me!
The LifeWay Event team spent all day at the Sommet and the Curb getting ready for your arrival! It feels like we've been preparing the house for family and friends coming for a great Christmas celebration! Even tonight, our wonderful production team will be working through the night like busy little elves!
Like you, we have waited all year for Deeper Still: The Event to finally arrive. And now--it is here! Read Mary's praises in Luke 1:46-55 to get some idea of the anticipation and expectation we are feeling as we approach this weekend. His blessings and favor are not only for those in the past but "His mercy is from generation to generation." And that includes us!
We anticipate many blessings by the gift of your presence this weekend. It is a pleasure to meet you at these Women's Events. It is an honor to serve you. You are truly beautiful women who are passionate about Jesus!
Even more, we anticipate the blessings of God to fall upon all of us as we worship Him in Spirit and Truth and go Deeper Still in His Word. It may not really be the night before Christmas, but I don't a night of anticipation much better than this!
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night! Sleep well!
Michelle

I just arrived home late last night from the" Deeper Still" conference. AWESOME!!!!!!
We all have our stories(i'm no different) but, i wanted to thank you ladies for obeying God. You have touched more lives and allowed God to use you in such wonderful ways. I've been beaten, abused and depressed-now i'm loved, cared for, and lifted high! My question and concern is can i make it last, can i keep what i received there and cause it to spread with arms wide open in my real life? I'm choosing to go deeper still but, that choice is easy when everyone around you is choosing the same thing. It's like a rock concert, the adrenaline is pumping then, in the wee hours later it fades. I don't want my love for the Lord nor the longing to obey to fade. Thank you for providing the knowledge to help keep my desire for Him strong!

Cindy,
You are so right...sometimes we think and feel like there is something magical about an event like Deeper Still. It is such a "mountain top experience." However, the presence of the Lord you felt at Deeper Still can continue everyday of your life if you are walking in obedience with Him. The magic is not in the place or the people around you but in the authority of God's Word and the power of His Holy Spirit. Spending time with Jesus in God's Word and in prayer is the key.
Remember what Beth shared on Saturday morning? David tried to move the ark one time the wrong way...his way using the new cart. The second time David moved the ark God's way using the two poles. (Reread 2 Samuel 6 and 1 Chronicles 13 and 15) Beth shared that our passion should be the two poles of God’s Word and Prayer—the two poles to carry the ark of the presence of God. Our passion should be to know His presence daily through His Word and prayer!
Let's all commit to spending time daily in God's Word and in prayer. Use the devotions on pages 30-35 of your Listening Guide from the event to get you started or another plan that will help you stay in God's Word daily. Praying for you!

Hey ladies!
I just talked to my mom and she and my dad were stopping at Starbucks and then heading to the airport. Mom is so excited to have the honor of serving you alongside Kay and Priscilla. They can't wait to open up the Word with you. Have a great weekend, everyone!
Love,
Amanda
