Three Sisters
It seems I was destined to enjoy and take part in women’s events. My mom is one of three sisters, I am one of three sisters, and now I have three daughters of my own. I remember crying, yes crying, when I found out I would have a third girl. I couldn’t believe I would need to live through the whole “three girls in one bathroom� thing again! However, because of my family background and all the girls, the long lines at the restrooms during women’s events don’t bother me nearly as much as they do others! How many of you can relate to a house full of girls?!
If you’ve never experienced a Christian women’s event like Deeper Still, think about it like having a house (a very large house that you would never want to clean on your own) full of girls…lots of talking, laughing, hugging, and crying. There is a sisterhood that is difficult to explain, but so worth experiencing.
As I ready Betsy’s Deeper Still blog for Mother’s Day, I thought about all the moms I’ve met at LifeWay’s Women’s Events. Whether it was a Deeper Still, Living Proof Live, Going Beyond, You and Your Girl, or a women’s training event, I always run across moms and daughters attending together. Sometimes it is a mom bringing her daughter and other times it is the daughter bringing her mother. Somehow I think these mothers and daughters are bonded at a deeper level because of the spiritual bond they have with one another through Jesus…and it is that depth of relationship I want to have with my three daughters.
I’m not sure who will be joining you at Deeper Still: The Event in about six weeks; but, I am praying that there will be lots of spiritual mothers and daughters, multiple generations of women, all seeking to go deeper still with Jesus and one another.
Who is coming with you to Deeper Still? Do we have any mothers and daughters attending? Several generations from one family? Spiritual mothers and mentors? Did anyone give their mother or daughter a ticket for Deeper Still as a Mother’s Day gift?
Can't wait to join all of you at Deeper Still in Atlanta! So glad I am part of a bigger family with more than three sisters!

I am attending with my twin sister, my mom (she gave the tickets to us as a birthday present), and hopefully my grandmother will be there with us...so three generations represented. (I could bring my little 16 month old girl, but then I wouldn't be able to pay attention...so she's going to stay with her daddy!)

I am SO excited to attend this event in Las Vegas in September!!! I had never heard of it until I was at a Living Proof Live Conference in Colorado Springs a couple of weeks ago. As soon as I got home I got on the phone with my mom who lives near Vegas to see if she wanted to go. I wasn't sure she would want to deal with the crowds but she became as excited as I was and we are going together with my sister from California and my sis-in-love from Vegas. I am a mom of 3 boys so I am not only excited to sit under the wonderful teaching of Beth, Kay and Priscilla but I can't wait for some extended girl time!!!

I WISH WISH WISH I was going to the conference in June, but my schedule won't allow. Nashville was incredible, life-changing, exciting.....I am going to try to make it to Las Vegas this year. Once is NOT enough! As a friend of Priscilla's, I am praying for the events and for the sisters who will come.
