What a Way to Start May!

May 1st started early…around 4:45 a.m. to be exact. It was a travel day! However, there is something about traveling on the National Day of Prayer that provides some security. (Big sigh and smile) Even though we had one connection slightly delayed it was an uneventful travel day…until…we reached our destination in Colorado Springs.

As we were waiting at the baggage claim, this really cute woman runs up and says, "TRAVIS! Is it really you?!" She and several of her friends flew from Dallas to Colorado Springs for Living Proof Live today and tomorrow. They were so sweet and we took their photos with Travis. It made me laugh…the whole time Travis is talking with these ladies he has this really surprised but happy look on his face. He still doesn't get it-we think he is so precious and love how he leads us to throne of grace with God in worship-but he still sees himself as Jethro on the Beverly Hillbillies (as he and Beth like to say). Anyway, it was a precious moment and one I don't want to ever forget.

After meeting our new friends at the baggage claim we stepped outside. UNBELIEVABLE! We left 70 degree weather in Nashville and were all dressed for 70 degree weather. However, it was in the thirties and snowing…YES SNOWING! They were big flakes too! Did anyone bring a coat? YIKES! I wrapped my very thin denim jacket tighter and pushed ahead into a wind that totally messed up my hair! We jumped in the rental vans and cried for someone to turn on the heater!

As we drove through Colorado Springs it was beautiful…the mountains…the snow…amazing. I thought about all the Christian organizations that call Colorado Springs home such as Focus on the Family. What a beautiful place in God's creation to live and minister! And then I thought about how they need ministering too, just like all the rest of us. The men and women in ministry in these great Christian organizations give so much daily to others, but they also need times of refreshing and renewal. We are so honored to serve them and all the ladies who will be at Living Proof Live tonight.

So, I am calling on all you prayer warriors to join us in praying for LPL in Colorado Springs! I've been praying a few verses over the believers living in Colorado Springs or attending this specific Living Proof Live.

"Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave and strong. Your every action must be done with love." -1 Corinthians 16:3-14 (HCSB)

We want God to do a HUGE work in Colorado Springs…as HUGE as Pikes Peak! We will let you know in the next few days how God shows up and shows off!

Love ya sisters! Thanks for praying!

Michelle

How fun that the Deeper Still blog is back up and running. I can't wait until Atlanta!! I wasn't planning on coming until I found out that DS is the Friday and Saturday at the end of our vacation...in ATLANTA! So, hey -- I'm there already. Why not?

Anyway, my friend Travis is so humble! I've told him before at church that he doesn't realize it but he is a ROCK STAR...a hymn-singin', God-praisin', capri pant wearin'...oops..got carried away...ROCK STAR!

Michelle, thanks for doing such a great job with the blog!

Blessings,
Dori

Dear Michelle,

The message in Colorado Springs is going forth for a testimony to the end of time. It is for a testimony to build up the Kingdom of God. I am honored that we were served by you and in awe of His love for us that He would draw us there.

My words cannot express the gratitude to you and the staff at Life Way. My eyes are filled thinking about the amount of transformation because God has put a Holy Hunger in our hearts and then as we open our mouth, He fills it with good things.

Oh how I love you all, and praise Him that you have not wearied in doing well, I am a sheave in the harvest!

In the Beloved,
Anastasia

Michelle,
I did watch the slide show. AMAZING! Every time I see a slide show of the conferences and see the encouragers I get chills. To see them praying everywhere blew me away!! Hopefully I will get to be an encourager again and I am so blessed to know you through that wonderful ministry!! I think my favorite part besides praying with the ladies is hearing the Word you are going to read us. Always a rhema word for each conference!!
Love,
Patty
