ROLL CALL!

Can you believe we are three weeks away from Deeper Still: The Event in Atlanta, Georgia?! As the excitement continues to build for this fantastic Christian women's event, we thought it would be fun to have a roll call! We want to hear where you are from--city and/or state--and who you are traveling with to Deeper Still. Are you coming with your church in a bus or van? Are you traveling with your best friend in her car? Are you making it a family reunion with your mom and two sisters?

Let the ROLL CALL begin!

Me and my two best girlfriends, Elizabeth & Kathy, are flying down to ATL early, early Friday morning (leaving Virginia at 5:44 am) and we won't leave until midnight Saturday night. We're coming from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Since I just got back from a wedding in Atlanta, I'm trying to plan our Friday daytime activities. There's so much fun stuff to do in Atlanta. But of course the main thing is the event! We can hardly wait!

I am traveling from Jacksonville, Florida. I am 1 of 6 girls that will be coming to the conference and meeting for the very first time, face to face. We were brought together by the Internet. Back in August, my little boy Tristan Asher Hostetter was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder called Trisomy 18. We had never heard of the disorder so we came home and researched the Internet and found lots of sad stories. However, I did find the blog of a girl whose due date was the same as mine and her baby was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 also. I was hesitant to contact her because you never actually know whose on the other side of the computer, until I realized she was the granddaughter of the late Adrian Rogers. I emailed Angie, she returned the email immediately and we have been very close friends since. Not long after that I came across several other sweet christian girls whose babies were also diagnosed with T-18 so I contacted them. What started out as a very lonely road quickly changed. I truly believe the Lord put each one of these sweet girls in my pathway to help carry me all the way. Our family prayed that our little boy would be born alive and live 1 day, we were blessed with 56 days. These girls have become my very best friends and we were trying to figure out a time to meet and one of the girls, Emily, suggested we meet at Deeper Still conference. So, we are coming and we are counting the days! Not only do we get to meet each other for the first time but we get to be refreshed and renewed in our spiritual lives, as we all desperately need uplifting as 5 of us lost our babies within the last few months and Emily's little girl would have celebrated her 1st birthday this month. See you at the conference.

I am Emily and I'm from Kentucky. Words cannot express how thrilled I am about this event! My baby girl passed away on June 28 of last year and healing truly did not begin for me until I attended the Deeper Still event in Nashville (the same city where she was born and lived for five days) last September. As our precious Lord would have it, this event falls on the first anniversary of the day Miller Grace went to Heaven. As if that isn't amazing enough, He has also paved the way for SIX mommies who have lost their little ones since then and who live all over the country to converge on Atlanta to worship Him together!!! We are so thrilled. This has been such a difficult year and we have walked through such fires with our Lord. The mere thought of this weekend opportunity to worship with Him sounds like fresh water to our weary, thirsty souls. Only our God could possibly have used something as crazy as Blogger to link broken hearts like ours, only to bring us all together on the weekend that marks such a pivotal event in my life. He is an awesome God. And we cannot wait to worship Him in Atlanta!!! I think it will be a tiny glimpse into the Heaven that our babies know so well and that our hearts are longing for.

Yvette,

As I read your story I am in tears. I cannot to begin to imagine the sorrow you and the five others have experienced during this year as you each lost your precious babies. Please know we are praying for you all--praying that each of your stories become HIS story. Praying that Deeper Still will take each of you deeper in your relationships with one another and, most of all, with our Lord. Praying for amazing blessings upon each of you as God holds your sorrows and your lives in His hands.

PS--Yvette, I would like to meet you and the five others at the conference at some point. Talk to one of the LifeWay event team members and ask for me (Michelle).

Brenda,

Please make sure your friend Cindy arrives about 15 minutes before the doors open. Look for a special entrance for special needs (sorry I'm not sure where it is). Because of her recent knee replacement she can come in a little early and will be escorted to some special need seating so she doesn't climb stairs, etc. Her daughter will be able to come in with her at that time.

Emily,

I'm thinking you are one of the six with Yvette and Kristy. As I continue to read your comments, I am amazed by God's grace and comfort upon your lives. How wonderful of God to connect the six of you...you are all so precious to Him...and to us for your honesty in sharing your stories of sorrow and God's provision. The weekend may be difficult as you reflect on your days with Miller Grace one year ago. Know that we are praying for you and all these mommies...and trusting God's faithfulness to be all you need during Deeper Still and this first anniversary. Praying still....

Hey y'all!!

My name is Miranda, I'm 21yrs old, and I'm from Georgia! It's funny, I saw a flyer for this event posted at the Church, where I attended a wedding a last month, and I immediately wanted to go, but I had other plans for the weekend. So, I didn't pursue any further information for the event. Then last week, a friend of mine from TN (who actually prayed with me to recieve Christ this past December)...she told me that she and a friend were going, and I should try to go with some of my gal pals and meet them there.

So.. I remembered seeing the flyer and pondered on it again... and I actually have a friend flying in that weekend from Michigan to visit...so I figured God may want us to be there for some reason. Hmmm....What's more perfect than spending a weekend worshipping the Lord with awesome friends!?!? You know?

Then I looked at the website and saw that it was sold out......(go figure...good grannies)....and I thought to myself.. "Well..it sounded like fun, but guess we can't go". Then something (or Someone..ha!) urged me to pick up the phone and call Lifeway. I called, and the office was closed, so I was a little bummed until I heard that the opening times were from 8-5 M-F. Well... just so you know.. it was 8:59 EST on Thursday...so that meant that they would be opening in 1 minute central time. So I hung up immediately and called back. Got a representative, (Oh yeah!!) and I asked, "Is the event in Atl sold out?" She said "Yes.".... (Awwl...)....she continued..."BUT we've actually just had some cancellations, would you like to buy tickets?" ...... Yes ma'am I would.. you know it!! Two please!!......WoO hOo!!!!

So I just feel like the Lord is leading my friend and I to this event, not just to meet up with my other good friend...but to take me further into His relationship with me. It was six months yesterday that my friend prayed with me to ask Jesus to come into my heart and two months ago that the same friend baptized me in His name, and I just feel like He made the registration for this event and everything, so that it would fall perfectly into place for us to be there. And He's so wonderful too.. that because I'm a financially impaired college student...HA!!!... He even allowed a friend of mine that lives in Atl, to let me room with her for the weekend! So I'm super pumped!!! I LOVE meeting people, ESPECIALLY fellow sisters in Christ, so I know we are all going to have a blast!!!!

Can't wait to see y'all.!!!
Love in Christ!!

God has been showing me how to stay put and bloom where I'm planted and the theme of "Deeper Still", I believe, will be a way for me to learn this even more! I pray God's Word will truly change me, and that this wouldn't just be a "pump up of my emotions". God has provided the money, tickets, and companions to go with. To Him be the glory, great things He hath done (and continues to do). I'm praying for a spirit of true worship, that we wouldn't worry about others around us, but that we would become all wrapped up in God!

Traveling from Pittsburgh, PA.

I am 1 of the 6 girls mentioned above who lost my baby girl, Eva Janette, on Easter Sunday (3/23/08) of this year. She is the fifth member of our family born on St. Patrick's Day (3/17/08). We were blessed w/ her life for 5 amazing days, 18 hours and 10 minutes.

After receiving a diagnosis of Trisomy 18 in September 2007 I realized that I was no longer in control (now I know I never was) and surrendered my pregnancy to my Heavenly Father. I knew at that moment in my life that only He could help me through what seemed like the impossible.

I quickly began telling everyone about the diagnosis and how I was relying on God to carry me through. I was contacted by a stranger on the Internet who gave me a blog website of a mother (Angie) carrying her baby girl (Poppy Joy) to term due in December 2007 who also had Trisomy 18. I then came to know several others (Emily-Miller Grace, Yvette-Tristan, Kenzie-Maddox, Kim-Mary Grace, Kristy-Isaac+Asher, Karen-Jacob) who were on the same path as I. It was that very moment I began to carry these other mothers, families and their precious babies in my heart and in my prayers.

I truly believe that God brought Eva into my life as well as these women for a great purpose. This conference will be my first as well as meeting these wonderful women of God face to face. I am ecstatic to be able to experience both. It brings joy to my heart to be doing something like this w/ a group of girls that know how it feels to hand your baby over to God after only a short while.

Looking forward to a weekend of learning, worship and healing w/ those who actually "get it" and get me!

Praise Jesus for bringing our babies together in Heaven which in turn brought our group of 6 (now 7) together here on Earth. I am so very thankful.

I'm coming from Chickamauga, GA with two other sisters in Christ. Both women have been such a blessing in my life and I'm so excited to have them coming with me. They have never been to any type event like this before so I know it's going to knock thier socks off. I pray they recieve many blessings from this event and leave with a deeper relationship with Christ. Just in the last few years, I began to develop an abiding relationship with the Lord. So many christian women know the Lord but have not experienced the abiding knowlege of the Lord in their life. God intends for us to have an abundant life through Christ and so many women never have taken the next step. I have such a burden for women to know that there is more to just going to church and going to conferances. God has so much He wants to do in your life. He desires to have intimate fellowship with his daughters. I pray that each woman who attends this conferance leaves different than they came knowing the God of the universe desires for you to go deeper into relationship with Him.

We have a group of 35 ladies coming from Pace Assembly of God Church in Pace, FL. We are all very excited about the opportunity to be with all the ladies, praising God together and soaking up the Word of God that will be taught. We went to the Deeper Still event in Nashville last year and we just blown away; want a blessed weekend!!
We do have 7 tickets available; some of the ladies who had planned to attend have had other things come up.

We have 7 extra tickets. If anyone needs a ticket, please email me at pammotley@bellsouth.net.

I am one of 5 ladies from our chiurch in Blythewood, SC who will be at the Deeper Still Conference in Atlanta. We're trying to get the driving directions straightened out still, and I'm worried about getting to and from the arena, but other than that I know it's going to be an awesome weekend. I just found the blog today and have been crying over the stories I've been reading.....I am looking forward to being in an arena with 19,000 women, and feeling God's presence as we worship Him, learn about His Word, and how to apply it to our lives!

I will be traveling with three of my Bible study girls from Birmingham, AL! We are planning to meet my mom #2 (aka stepmom) along with several ladies from her church near Montgomery, AL. I found out last night that she (mom) has a herniated disk and may be unable to make the trip. Please lift her (Pat) up in your prayers! We were very much looking forward to going Deeper into God's word together. Praying protection and love over you all!

I am coming with a group of ladies from Immanuel Baptist Church here in Greenwood, MS. At last count, we had about 16 of us!

We have done several Beth Moore studies, and we are all familiar with Kay and Priscilla also. My personal testimony is very closely linked with Priscilla - hearing her dad, Tony Evans, on the radio is what led me to start attending church 9 years ago, and I was saved about 3 weeks later.

We are all so excited for this event - it's finally here!!!!

We'll be a group of 6 representing Life Streams Fellowship in Greenback, TN. We'll be completing our VBS Thursday night, cleaning up the church, then leaving Friday morning for the several-hours drive to Atlanta, so expect dark circles that no eye makeup can conceal!

One other comment/funny: My younger daughter, Megan, who's six, is feeling very abandoned by my overnight get-away, and this week got tired of hearing me talk constantly about going "to see Beth Moore." (She knows who Beth is - I've borrowed the Bible study DVD's at times and watched them at home for various studies.) She was teary-eyed at bedtime a few nights ago thinking about how I wouldn't be there to tuck her in Friday night and finally just burst out exasperatedly: "I don't know why you have to go see Beth Moore anyway! Can't you just call her on the phone?" :-)

Hey Wendy--what a cute story on your Megan! Praying it was a fantastic week of VBS and you have safe travels to Atlanta tomorrow. Let Megan know we are praying for her and all the little ones at home, sharing their mommies with us for two days. Praying the mommies will be so refreshed and renewed by God this weekend...they will be better mommies forever because of the transformation in their lives!
