The Power of Prayer
As I continue to read your comments on the Deeper Still Blog, I am overwhelmed by your sweet spirits, hopes and prayers for this event. You are a precious group of women and we can't wait to be with you in Atlanta. Thanks to all of you for sharing your struggles and your need for God to do something BIG in your life as He takes you deeper still in your relationship with Him.
We are so touched by your comments and want to continue this powerful connection of prayer and encouragement. So, this is your official prayer page as we approach June 27-28 in Atlanta. Please post your prayer requests so others on the blog can pray specifically for you. Also, feel free to write a prayer or pray scripture for those individual requests or for Deeper Still: The Event.
Let's watch the power of prayer in action as we seek to go deeper still with God daily.
"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time." --Hebrews 4:15-16 (HCSB)

Please pray that I will continue to listen to the Lord's calling for me, and that I always remain in His will. I pray that my path may always stay narrow and my eyes always remain fixed on Jesus. My daily prayer is to have His image formed in me, and for the Lord to burn away all else that has risen, in my heart, as unglorifying.
Through "Deeper Still," I ask that we pray- Philippians 1:25-26... that the Lord use these women ( both speaking and attending) as faithful servants placed in our paths, who will encourage us as we continue our discipleship, and progress in His Word and joy in the faith. Blessings!!!!
Love, Miranda

I am humbled as I anticipate being in the presence of Almighty God with thousands of women seeking to go DEEPER STILL. I pray that God will ready my heart to open and receive his will.
My special friend, Cindy, who has been planning to come with me for 8 months will not be able to travel due to her recent knee replacement surgery. Please pray that God will minister to her heart in this disappointment and give her complete healing.

Praying for you sweet ladies! Also, sensing a great need to pray for those who are facing challenges and difficulties in the last weeks before Deeper Still. There will be so many who face great disappointments (like Brenda's friend who is now unable to travel) or those coming to the event with huge burdens. Let's pray for Beth, Kay, Priscilla, Travis, Mandisa, the Praise team--I can't imagine the sense of responsibility they feel and the attacks from the enemy they face before an event of this magnitude. The task is overwhelming from a human perspective. May our focus remain on Jesus and His overwhelming love!

What an awesome God who is already answering the prayers of these righteous women who just want to know him better. Michele, my prayers mirror yours - I want more ofJeus in my life, more discipline, getting rid of pride, being totally dependent upon him and not what the world has to offer. Please pray for members of my family in need of God's divine touch: son and daughter and husband. I also lift up Beth, and Priscilla, and Kay and the entire crew of Deeper Still - that God stand between they and the enemy and grant them peace and victory.
Blessings to all my sweet sisters, please pray for me.

I've been reading through the blogs and comments from this site. I've been praying for God to remove all distractions and disruptions (of all types, as I've dealt w/quite a variety lately!) from me (and others) coming into and during this event.
But as for what to pray for God to do during the event, I don't know what to say. Much is on my mind and heart. So I look to the One who knows me best and knows what I need most, what He longs to say to me June 27 and 28...and that's what I ask for. Also that my heart be positioned to hear His words to me clearly and receive them fully.
I want more of Him, more desperately needed healing of my heart, and to be renewed by the transforming of my mind.
Hungry and Thirsty.
See you there.

I love you girls! Thanks Katie for asking for specific prayer requests from us! (And I loved your scripture reference above BTW) Let me give you few prayer requests from our team.
Pray for us (especially Betsy our Event Coordinator for Atlanta) to remember the details..there are lots of them for an event this size!
Pray for all our platform speakers and worship leaders. They have lives like the rest of us and are trying to balance the stuff of life along with this ministry responsibility God has given them.
Pray for safe travel for all. My husband works with LifeWay Student Events and their camps--Centrifuge, M-Fuge, X-Fuge. Just this week one of the church vans (10 miles from one of the camps) blew a tire and flipped on the way to camp. It skidded upside down (yes on the roof) into a ditch. All involved went to the hosptital (cuts, stitches, bruises) but all ok. They left the hospital and went straight to camp and are there now! All that to say, PRAY for protection and alertness for all those traveling, even if they are only 10 minutes from Philips Arena!

Michelle,
I know that all of the tickets are sold out but I was wondering if anyone has returned any tickets? WE NEED ONE!!!! Originally, we had 6 girls coming (who had lost their babies this yr) but then another mom lost her baby 2 weeks ago and Emily invited her and found her a ticket but now we have a girl Angie (the late Adrian Rodgers granddaughter) who had planned on coming from the beginning but the Lord blessed her with a newborn through adoption a few weeks ago so she did not think it would be possible. Now, after realizing she would be the only girl not going, she would like to go. If you know of anyone that has an extra ticket could you please email me at yat5@comcast.net. Thank you and we all are looking forward to the conference.

My son overdosed on drugs 2 weeks ago. He was not expected to live. He was in ICU for a week on a vetalator. He is a member of a great church (he had be clean for awhile and was very active in his church. He relapsed!) the members of his church along with friends from AA all were at the hospital for weeks. Thru prayer he lived. The doctors say it was a true miracle. The doctors said he is alive only because of God's miracle. I will be at the event in Atlanta and believe me I am very excited and looking forward to it. My son is living proof of what prayer can do. God Bless all of you

We join in your praises to God Debbie! Thankful for a wonderful body of Christ surrounding your son with God's love and prayers. Praying for complete healing and no more relapses--praying Jesus will be his sources of strength as your son walks day by day with Him in obedience. Keep praying ladies--God hears!

Yvette--I have no idea where we are in the ticket exchange process. I know many have sold/bought tickets via this Deeper Still blog. Some may still be available that are posted on the blog---everyday we have women post tickets for sale or comments like yours, someone needing a ticket. You can also call LifeWay's Events Registration at 1-800-254-2022 and see how the waiting list looks. Praying God provides exactly what she needs most at this time in her life! And what a blessing to hear about this adoption!

In faith I'm inviting my daughter to the Conference in Las Vegas. I'm praying that she'll attend the entire weekend and that she will surrender her life to Christ.

Michelle,
I have followed and so admire these three women and how open they have been to following the call God has on their lives. I am so looking forward to hearing what God has laid on their hearts for us in Atlanta.
I need to ask you to pray that:
1. God would increase my thirst to be in His word
2. God would help me to achieve a better balance between work, ministry, family, and all the other demands on my time and emotions
3. God would give me further direction in His call for me to write and speak publicly for him.
4. God would bind the fear and anxiety that has held me back for years
Voicing these prayer requests makes them so much more real, but also makes me so much more hopeful that God will answer! Where two or more are gathered...
Thanks,
Michelle Bengtson

I am so excited about this weekend. I had already decided to bring a prayer down with me but now that I have the chance to get it out there earlier I'm going to jump on it.
A co-worker of mine is having martial trouble and it is spilling over into every aspect of their life including their kids and of course into the office. It is very uncomfortable around here as they both work with us, but I feel like I need to be here to be a positive influence on them and to bring Jesus Christ to them whenever I can.
Please pray that they can resolve their issues in whatever way God has chosen for them and that I can offer any help that He sends to me.
As I am typing this things are very emotional and are exploding and I just really need to feel the presence of God more than ever.
Thank you for praying with me!

I asked my daughter to attend the conference with me, but
she didn't want to. I hoped it would be a time of healing for
her and our family. She is 20 years old, a beautiful,
intelligent girl with opportunities & potential available for the taking. She started running with the wrong crowd junior
year of high school and has been in and out of trouble every since. She recently spent 9 months in jail for habitual probation violation for drug possession. Please pray that
God will deal with her and she will want to change her life and live the way she knows she should and the way she was raised to live. She has such a low opinion of herself and continues to associate with the same type of people and in a negative lifestyle that she doesn't expect anything better than the people she calls friends.
Pray that God will do what must be done to bring her to him and give our family courage and grace to handle it.

We are traveling with about 10 girls! I am praying for "life transformations"! For some of the girls, this will be their first time experiencing such an awesome time of worship, teaching, and God's presence! We are actually doing Beth Moore's "Believing God", and it has been great! Praying for a wonderful weekend, open ears, and receiving hearts!
Much love,
Becky

This is great Michelle!
I'll take every opportunity I can get for someone to pray for me-and I will most certainly pray for others. Prayer is soo key, isn't it!?
Okay, my prayer requests...
That I would never stray from my LORD again,
That I would be alerted in my Spirit the minute Satan tries to take my mind somewhere it shouldn't go (in relation to spiritual warfare and life in general)
That I would make scripture memorization a bigger priority
(how long can the list be?)
That I would love others with an honoring love, not a dishonoring love.
That I would esteem others as better than myself-NO PRIDE and living independantly of God (another form of pride)
That I would see the world in reality-in Truth-in the reality given to me in God's Word
That I would be a better witness to my related family that is lost, to not be afraid to just tell them the Truth!
Please pray for me as I am going through fertility treatments-(hard for me, but Phil 4:13)
1 Peter 2:1-3
Eph. 1:17-19
Phil. 3:10, 4:6-8
Phil. 1:20
Job13:15-16-though He slay me, yet I will trust HIM, it will be for my salvation
Be encouraged Michelle! Anything I/we going to Deeper Still can pray for you?
