We're Here!
Incredible! It is now 9:30 pm in Atlanta and this is my first free moment today! I'm so excited to sit at my computer and fill you in on the day!
We left around 7:00 am this morning from LifeWay in Nashville, Tennessee. A smooth and safe day of travel with plenty of laughs and chicken mini's from Chick-fil-a!
When we arrived at Philips Arena (around 12:30 pm), the amazing Production Team had started the bulk of the set up. All I can say is WOW! There is so much that goes into preparing an arena for lights, sound, stage, and so forth. (I'll see if I can't find some photos around here from the team to let you see the progression)
It is always exciting watching the LifeWay bookstores come to life on the concourse! By the way, there will be three LifeWay bookstores located on the concourse at Philips Arena. Stop by and check them out when you get here Friday!
Our day was busy unloading Deeper Still Listening Guides, Journey devotional magazines, LifeWay displays, and other random items! Be sure to get your Listening Guide and Journey magazine when you enter the doors Friday night. Our wonderful ministry partner volunteers from Atlanta will be the ones standing at the doors smiling and handing them to you as you enter.
There is not much to tell about the afternoon as we continued to set up and prepare things behind the scenes for Deeper Still: The Event. It is not a glamourous job as we throw boxes in t-shirts and capris. Honestly, we get pretty hot and stinky! But with every box, every tissue box, every Bible, every cord connected...we think of you and we are more excited than ever as we await your arrival!
Tomorrow I will begin posting the happenings of Deeper Still Atlanta, throughout the day and evening. We want to keep you updated on all that God is doing at this awesome Christian women's event!
So, if you are not able to join us live at the event, join us live on the blog! I will try to post lots of pictures so you feel like you are here with us! Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! Expecting God to take us Deeper Still like never before!

I am so excited about tomorrow! I left Jackson, TN at 1:30 this afternoon heading for Nashville, then Chattanooga, then Atlanta! What a breathtaking beautiful drive it was. By the way...does Ruby Falls really exist? I never found any directions! I's like to go there!
I really can't wait to see what God is going to do. He is already working on me and has been since Christmas..preparing me for this event! Tomorrow, as I sit out on a row boat in the middle of a lake with my best friend, to have a time of devotion and prayer...we will pray for the Deeper Still team, crew, and those in attendance. I will pray that God puts His words in your mouth and gives us all an ear to hear what He wants to say to us!

We've been in Atlanta all week! We've been in the CNN Center several times this week, but yesterday -- OH YESTERDAY! We popped in for our CNN tour and I couldn't focus on the studios, lights, and cameras on the tour for all of the ACTION in the arena! I kept looking for you because I certainly would have tapped on the glass to get a good old stinky sweaty hug!!
Can't wait for tonight!!

I'm sitting here at work not able to do ANYTHING because I'm so excited about tonight. Going to take half a day off today, head over to the Varsity for a good ol'e hot dog, meet my Mom who is coming in from out of town and then on to Phillips Arena!

WOO HOOO!!!!! I can't believe I'm still up and wide awake, at 10:39PM!!!! I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight - I'm so excited! I've been antsy all day, and finally just had to get off work at 3:00 - I couldn't sit there another minute!!! I can't wait to get there and see exactly what God has up His awesome and mighty sleeves this weekend!
We'll be pulling out from the church at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning. God is going to bless us so much, and I know I'm going to come back a changed person - a better person for it!! I've never attended an event like this before, and I'm as nervous and excited as a cat on a hot tin roof!!!
