Your Story...HIS Story

Who read the blog post Something New earlier this month? Now who actually remembers what it was about?

Yeah...that's what I thought...

We had four HUGE boards set in different places on the concourse last night. The women at Deeper Still in Atlanta were asked to reflect and record their thoughts on these questions...

What do I hope God will do in my life through this Christian women's event?
What are my dreams as I go deeper still with God?
What is one thing I need to release to God this weekend?

We want these "story" boards to reflect and record a small portion of your story and how you hope and pray your story becomes HIS Story at Deeper Still: The Event.

All these boards have now been brought to the stage as Travis leads us to the throne of grace through worship singing We Long for You.

...and now the Praise Team joins in singing Mighty to Save...

I can't even begin to describe the worship taking place in this room...the sights and sounds surrounding me at this moment...the emotion and depth of this experience...every one of your senses will be awaken.

When they turned up the lights to reveal the transformation...as your story became His Story...all you could see where flashes around the room (yes, I know there is no flash photography allowed during the event) However, for this one moment we made an exception...

You will have to trust me when I say we were just taken to a new level....deeper still....

Do you know the name of the guy who "transformed" the "HIStory" boards?

Wow... what a precious time of worship and what an awesome way to be lead in worship through such godly creativity with the paintings. As an artist, I long for my artwork to glorify God and show that there is a purpose for beauty in the things we create because He is our Creator and He is beauty. So that moment really spoke to my heart in a significant way. It was beautiful as He was in the center of it! Deeper still, indeed...

Praise His Name!

This was one of my favorite moments this weekend. Though I am tired and drained and I feel like my brain is fried from so much info and little sleep. But GOD has given me a fullness and a peace about my life this weekend. I make things so complicated. It's not about me, it's about Him.

Wow! I have been a minister's wife for 12 years. I have had numerous opportunities to attend conferences but there always seemed to be a conflict with sickness in family, death, other obligations, and yes, excuses. This conference was my first to ever attend and WOW!

The music was exhilirating. The worship was powerful. Beth, Priscilla and Mrs. Kay were incredibly motivating and ordained by our Lord.

We are soooooo blessed and the blessings keep coming.

God performed a miracle so my mom could be there too! I had bought my ticket for Deeper Still in February and then found out my mom was going to be visitng me all the way from Australia and although she had just had had surgery and her hip replaced the women is all about praisin' the Lord and I knew she would love to go the the event. I tried to get tickets and they were sold out. I tried the website blog and I tried my church group, every time just missing that ticket. My mom said that's okay, just tell me all about it when you get home. I felt badly about leaving her at home when she had just arrived. (She knew all about who Beth and Priscilla were as I have been sending her books and Bible studies over the last couple of years.) I went to bed the night before and just said Lord I know if you want here there she will be there. I went that morning with my friend leaving my mom at home with my three young children. When I got there I began to search for tickets. I missed the lady who was selling tickets and as I began to tell the lady manning the doors at Phillips Arena how sad I was my mom could not join me, I donlt know why I choose to tell her my story, about how my mom came all the way from Australia and could not get a ticket, she handed me a wrist band that she had just been handed by a stranger who said "please GIVE this to someone today, we can not use it." (I had wondered how I was going to tell him I had just spent $75 on another ticket.)
Praise God!! I called my husband who was willing and able to pack up the kids and make it through traffic in record time to drop my mom off at the right door and, of course, there was a spare seat already next to me and she only missed 30 minutes of the event. My mom was saved in her late 50's and I in my 20's and we have never lived together since we have both found Christ on seperate sides of the world, so we have never been able to praise the Lord together in such a way. We were blessd by God that day in so many ways. Praise God for an awesome day.
