Taking a Poll

As I've been reflecting on Deeper Still: The Event in Atlanta and preparing for Deeper Still: The Event in Las Vegas, I thought of something really fun we need to do! Before the Deeper Still events we always try to do a "roll call" to find out where everyone is coming from to the women's event.

One thing we've never asked is how many "rookies" and "veterans" we have coming to the events. I would love for you to share with us if Deeper Still: The Event was your first LifeWay women's event! Also, I would love to hear from some of you who are often "on the road" with us at Living Proof Live events with Beth Moore, Going Beyond events with Priscilla Shirer or other LifeWay women's events!

So, let us hear about your rookie experience at Deeper Still in Atlanta or where you've been as a veteran of LifeWay women's events. How has God used these women's events in your life or the women's ministry at your church?

Deeper Still was my first Lifeway's women's event and it was amazing. I didn't know until just a few days before the event I would be going, but I am so glad I went. I was so blessed and it was a springboard for going deeper still since. The time of music and worship was so awesome - I can only imagine that it will be something like that when we all get to heaven:) I can't wait until another event makes its way to Atlanta so I can be there!

Deeper Still 2008 was my 2nd Deeper Still event. My advice to anyone who has not attended one of these events is that you have definitely missed out on one of the most blessed experience of your life. Feeling the Lord's presence listening to these 3 awesome women, it is undescribable and a blessing that I look forward to each year. I was happy to hear that this event will be happening agaian in 2009 so if you haven't attended one in the past, you need to plan on attending the event in 2009. God is good, and he shows up big time in these events. I have also attended a Living Proof Live event, and received the same blessings that I received from Deeper Still. I pray that if you haven't attended one of these events in the past that the Lord will provide for you to attend an event in 2009. These events have been life changing for me. I come with about 4-5 other ladies from Roxboro, NC and we start planning as soon as we leave the last event. My prayer for each of you is that you attend an event in 2009.

Love in Christ,

This was my first ever women's conference period! I must say that it was the biggest life changing experience in my life thus far. I attended with about 15 other ladies from my small church.

As I return to school to face another two years of college, the messages presented at Deeper Still - Atlanta encourages me and uplifted my soul.

The worship, to me, was just that...so worshipful. I had felt hindered in my walk with the Lord and that had placed a hindrance on my worship life. Through everyone's speaking and sharing at the conference, the Lord enabled me to renew my relationship with Him. Each day, it is stronger than before.

Praise the Lord for this ministry...God bless you all!

This was my first Deeper Still (Atlanta). I've been to a few Living Proof conferences but seeing all three of these ladies together just about blew me away. I'm still remembering things they said. I just finished teaching Priscilla's "Can we Talk" and I was so thankful that I could see her and experience her first hand while doing the study.
The Deeper Still event had a profound impact on my life! I will be taking my 17 year old daughter to the next on! Keep up the good work!
God Bless

Deeper Still Atlanta was my first Lifeway event, although I have been to several conferences in the past with Beth Moore and Kay Arthur as speakers. This was the largest event I have been a part of; the next largest would have been 8,000 at Precept's National Women's Conventions. Before going to Deeper Still Atlanta, I was a little unsure what kind of experience it could be, being so large. But it far exceeded my expectations. I was able to see much better than I anticipated, with the large screens. I also very much appreciated that it ended on Saturday, so that I could be back in my church on Sunday morning! (It is a small church and I lead the singing plus running the Power Point presentation.) As I have commented previously, I got to share this time with my mom and my mother-in-love, as well as one other dear friend. So it was a very special time for us all. This past Sunday as we were singing You Are My Shield, we were recalling our time together in Atlanta. It was wonderful, challenging, and powerful. It was truly a blessing.

Michelle, I was on Lifeway.com yesterday and saw the new study on David that came from a Deeper Still Event. There is very little information and I tried to get info through Lifeway Stores and Lifeway online but I mainly got a computer. The students in my Bible Study have expressed desire to study under all three teachers. We saw Priscilla in NW Arkansas in the fall and really enjoyed her passion for God and his people. Years ago I began the study of God's word with Kay Arthur and in recent years have led studies written and taught by Beth Moore. I was really excited about Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed because this new format with all three teachers answers the requests from the women I have the privilege of studying with at my church. The problem is, there are no excerpts, promos, etc. on the website. I am trying to plan my fall study and would love to do it but could not find a person who could tell me about the format and the length of the videos. As you know summer is the time to get on the fall calendar. I am also wondering how accurate the 9-1-08 release date is. Is that pretty firm?? I know you may not have the info but I thought I would give it a try. It may be that it is intended that I walk by faith not by sight!!! Thanks, Dea Moore Searcy, AR
By the way I'll "see" Beth Live here in Searcy next weekend.

Hey Deanne,

Let me see if I can't get the info for you and create a post of the blog this week!!! Sounds like some information that others might be interested in as well. Thanks for asking--it was taped at Deeper Still: The Event in Nashville last September. You can check out some of the notes from each session in Reflections--check the September 2007 archives on the blog.

I have been attending LPL events for 8 years. My first LPL event was in Nashville 8 years ago. It was unlike anything I had ever been to. I have attended 1 Deeper Still event. I have been to Nashville, Boone, NC, Knoxville, Phoenix AZ to name a few. I like to attend at least 1 event a year but when God leads me to a conference, I go. I have been an attendee and a volunteer. My favorite thing to do is to pray with the sweet ladies who come down for prayer. It is a joy to serve!! I like that with each conference Beth brings a fresh Word. I have said this before and I will say it again, thank you Michelle and ALL of the women's event team for your hard work!!!
Love,
Patty

Deeper Still Atlanta was my 2nd Lifeway event. I attended Living Proof last year in Detroit, MI. I'm not the same person I was when I attended Living Proof. I had bought my mother in law tickets to see Beth Moore for Christmas, so I went with her, just to get away from home. For more than 10 years, I have suffered from depression. By the time I went to Living Proof. I didn't want to live anymore. Decided there was nothing worth living for. Asked God pretty much on a daily basis to end my life. Everytime I got in a vehicle, I asked God to have a vehicle drive me in a cement wall on the highway. I Felt all alone in this world, even though I was surrounded by people who loved me. That Friday night at Living Proof, changed my life. Beth spoke on Exodus 33, having a face to face relationship with God. That God desires to have that relationship with us. To be so close to us that we could feel His breathe on our necks. That no matter what you've done in your life, God wants to be your friends. I took those words personally. I cried and cried and cried. On Saturday she spoke on earthly friendship. Again, I cried and cried and cried. When I got home that night, I went into my bathroom and cried and prayed. Begging God to be my friend, to deliver me from my depression or to please take me heaven. That next morning, I woke up and for the first time in a long time, I was able to take a deep breathe. God had heard me and answered me. From that moment on, I began developing a face to face relationship with God. Early this year, I felt the Lord telling me to go and share my story, to start my full time ministry for Him. I felt like a modern day Moses, questioning Him with every question I could possibly think of. Well, Deeper Still comes around. My whole outlook this time going to a Lifeway event was different. This time I was looking for comfirmation from God, that what I was hearing was really him talking. First thing Friday night when Priscilla spoke, God was speaking. Exodus 19- reminded me of the wilderness that I was camped in and how now that I'm out, all praise to God and then reminded that God indeed makes it available to all of us to have a face to face relationship. Then on Saturday Kay spoke, about how we need more women to speak up in a world that is suffering from the presence of the Lord. Then Beth, on John 1 about the WORD and how I was placed on this earth to spread the WORD!! By the time it was done, God had confirmed not once, not twice, but three times what He was saying all along. Again, I cried and cried, but this time not because I was in my blackest of blackest pits, but because I was finally out, finally free, finally face to face with the God who was there the WHOLE time!!

I can honestly say, that without Lifeway and the events it puts on, I probably wouldn't be here. I thank you from the bottom of my heart that God put you and the women in your ministry into my life. I look forward to the day, when we will sit in the presence of God, face to face, and worship Him for all eternity!!

"I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud, and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground, and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the Lord".

Deeper Still - Nashville was my first women's event and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time in my life. This conference was exactly one week prior to my breast cancer diagnosis. I will be attending a LPL event in L'ville this weekend and am also supposed to be going to the Going Beyond event in N'ville toward the end of Sept. There is just something special about worshipping with a group of women and I can't wait!!!

I was wondering if there was any way you could repost the video recap of the Nashville event. I went back into the archives but couldn't get the video to play. This video recap is near to my heart and I am actually in it...with hands raised to heaven. Thanks!!!!

Deeper Still in Atlanta was my first event. I have never attended anything that was so large but so personal in my life. Even though there were 19,000 women there, I felt like Priscilla, Kay and Beth were speaking to me. The music was unbelievable. Planning to go to Women of Faith in September.

Going to Vegas!!
I've been a facilitator of many Beth Moore DVD/Bible Studies in my home church for years. Looking so forward to to the Vegas Deeper Still. My husband and I bear daily saddness for our adopted, only child, a girl, now 27 years old who is homeless. She abandoned our grandson 3 years ago to his father.

At the Living Proof simulcast in our church this past weekend, Beth told how she turns around at the end of the conference to see the women lined up to share a story w/her.

God has given me many 'daughters' of many ages thru these studies. The Psalm 126: 5,6 passage has always been precious to me as I too daily go out w/tears for my lost, only daughter - and pray to God that his words are (the PROMISE) that I will return singing.......the word is refining us 'till it comes to pass!!.

In His Name

Praying for you Tabitha--praying Hosea 6:1-3 over you...what is torn, dry, wounded will be healed and restored. Praying He will come to you like the rain, showering you with His mercy and grace and love.

Sisters--let's all join in praying for Tabitha and others who really need a word from the Lord and refreshing that only He can bring at Deeper Still: The Event in Las Vegas.
