Fabulous Friday
We are finishing the first week of school at my house and all week I've heard about "Fabulous Friday." Everyone in my daughter's second grade class has an opportunity to enjoy "Fabulous Friday" if they get a smiley face sticker each day. What exactly is "Fabulous Friday?" From my understanding it means you get a Popsicle and get to play a game at some point on Fabulous Friday as a reward for good behavior all week.
As I've thought about Fabulous Friday, I think one of the best parts is the anticipation for the big day. Each day as my little second grader thinks and talks about what is to come on Friday, the excitement and momentum builds. Friday turns into something more than the end of the school week. It is more than simply popsicles and an extra game to play during one portion of the day. Friday becomes different from any other day of the week. Friday becomes, well...fabulous!
As we build up to our "Fabulous Friday" on September 5 when we all enter the Thomas and Mack Event Center in Las Vegas for Deeper Still: The Event, I thought I would put up some photos from our guy Rich to help you anticipate the experience at this Christian women's event. I am looking forward to the next three weeks as the excitement and momentum builds for Deeper Still: The Event Las Vegas!

Thanks Ginger for the extra reward tips--I think we will run someplace fun for dinner on this fabulous Friday night! BTW--my daughter said the popsicle was great when she came in from school today!

We have Fabulous Fridays too! It is our family day to meet at the corner and walk to the local donut shop and have fresh "yums". That is what my grandbabies call donuts. It is quite a brigade. 7-9 of us with 2-3 strollers.Ages 83 to 15 months. Walking, talking, hand holding, and anxious expectation with each step. I am thinking Deeper Still will evoke the same actions and responses. I anxiously expect a time of spiritual Y-U-M from God Almighty! Fill us, satisfy our hungry hearts with your sweet word. Counting down!

Gaila--I love the "yums" what a great idea! And what a precious image of what Deeper Still is all about and what God wants for His people and His church...multi-generational...walking, talking, hand holding, and anxious expectation with each step...Can't wait to see what God does in Las Vegas in the lives and families of women like you! May each generation of your family be blessed in a richer and deeper relationship with Jesus!

Thanks for sharing the photos Michelle. It certainly looks like the spirit of the Lord was in that place and in those ladies. This is my first time on the LifeWay website so I'm just now reading about the event in Las Vegas. I pray God's blessing and travel mercies over each and everyone, as they attend this event. I know that God's spirit will be in that place so I pray that no-one comes back the same as when they left. A supernatural change should take place!
I'm reminded of Fabulous Fridays at my daughter's pre-school. If they get a sticker all week, they get a prize on Friday and I also reward her with McDonald's or CiCi's pizza from time to time. So, Friday's are exciting and fabulous for my little one as well!
