Deeper Still Blog...Signing Off for 2008
What an exciting ride we've shared on the Deeper Still Blog 2008! But with no more Deeper Still events in 2008, we are shutting her down after this week (September 12, 2008). So speak now or forever hold your piece! I will continue posting comments through Friday!
The great news is that you can still stay connected with LifeWay Women through our All Access blog!!! Check it out (if you haven't already) they have some great posts about Deeper Still: The Event in Las Vegas!
In addition to Deeper Still, they will have info about all things "women!" This includes Women's Events such as Livng Proof Live with Beth Moore, Going Beyond with Priscilla Shirer, You and Your Girl with Vicki Courtney, LifeWay Women's Training Events, new women's Bible studies, marriage conferences, and the list goes on and on. All Access is also great to keep you updated on Travis and the Praise team.
So, click here to check out All Access and put it on your favorites!
One more word before signing off. We, LifeWay Women, are so thankful to partner with you in ministry to other women across the country and around the world. God is doing great things in the hearts and lives of women! We are so thankful for all of you and how you are reaching out to other women, sharing God's word and the message of Jesus Christ. It is a blessing to serve with you!
Although we are signing off on the Deeper Still blog, we hope to see you at another LifeWay Women's Event in 2009! (Click here to check out where LifeWay Women will be in 2009!) I will continue to remember Deeper Still: The Event and think of Psalm 84...longing for God's house...
How lovely is Your dwelling place, Lord of Hosts. I long and yearn for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh cry out for the living God. Better a day in Your courts than a thousand anywhere else. Psalm 84:1-2, 10a
It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve you sweet sisters through the Deeper Still Blog! Many blessings as you continue to go deeper still in God's Word and with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Michelle

And I've enjoyed the Deeper Still blog too Mitzi! There will be 3 Deeper Stills in 2009 but the first one is the end of July (I think) Check www.lifeway.com/women for exact dates and locations. Anyway, that would mean about 10 months before another Deeper Still and since this blog is focused on DS and event specific it would be hard to maintain! We would be showing the same old photos for 10 months! Hope you will get involved on All Access blog and keep up with all the different ministries and resources through LifeWay Women! Blessings Mitzi and thanks for making DS blog a joy!

Dear Lifeway,
I absolutely enjoyed the conference, I am ALWAYS thrilled to be a part of something so vital to God's teaching. Friday night was the most wonderful day for me. I had the priviledge to hear Priscilla Shirer speak in Arlington, Texas about two years ago. I thought her energy & wisdom regarding God's direction was right on, & even more so now! She was amazing to watch & so impressed that her energy was still there, being so great with child. Her humor & love for our great God was very evident. I felt so uplifted & ready to go "Deeper Still" with my love & life, I've given to Him!
However, I was so disappointed that the Panel Discussion & Beth were switched. (My friends & I were unable to stay, we had to return to work to our Saturday Night service). So as you can imagine, it was heart breaking to miss Beth Moore, she was the main reason we attended, (we had just finished one of her studies a few months ago).
Also, I have to tell you that several people from my church were VERY offended by Kay Arthur. I'm truly sorry to speak about this, but I think the truth is very important. Going to a conference like this, I go with the hope to be inspired, renewed, uplifted AND given the message of God's goodness in forgiveness & love. I had the feeling that she came here with the ASSUMPTION that she would set all of us sinners straight. Believe me, of all the people in this country, we know more than anyone, how bad the state of the world is! (For goodness sake we live in Sin City)! It is important for us not to walk around with our eyes closed, but THAT was not the proper forum. (Politics especially)! AND the topic of divorce & sexual matter were done very poorly & tacky! She, of all people should know how hard abuse can be, & how hard it is to get out of, but she made it sound like, it was all the womens fault. I was married at a very young age & am now celebrating 37 years, we have a wonderful marriage now, but of course, it hasn't ALWAYS been that way. God healed my marriage with so many blessings & I thank my God each & every day for it. Like Priscilla said, miracles happen! But Kay left us feeling beat up, sad, & totally attacked!
Again, I'm truly sorry to have to write something so negative about something that had the potential for being so amazingly great! This is about my 14th conference that I have attended in my life. I live in Las Vegas, but I lived in Illinois for 42 years. So you see, just because we live in Sin City, doesn't mean we are all heathens!!! This after all, was a CHRISTIAN conference. I hope that Beth & Priscilla will consider the ramifications of this, & seek God's guidance on the matter.
Respectfully,
Jeanie Edwards

I went to the Deeper Still the Event in LV kicking and screaming. I told my husband no less than three times that I was not going each time he said ok. I was so blessed at the confrence. One of the blessing that just stands out for me that I would like to share. On Saturday I talked the the woman that was translating in ASL for the praise and worship. I wanted to thank her for signing and I shared that I sign at my church but I don't see it used often. She offered me a seat in the section reserved for hearing impaired. I decline and told her that I was sitting close by and was able to see. When praise and worship started she turned to face me so I could see the signs. I was so blessed. The Holy Spirit just poured out of this servant of God. If you have clips of all of the songs. There is one solo; I was watching the signs and just happened to look up and there in the corner of the screen you could see the signs. She was beautiful. I knew at that moment that there were others being blessed by the signs. I think that because that servant of God turned towards me to sign the camera caught her on the screen. If you missed it, it would be worth your while to view it. God bless her and everyone at Deeper Still.

Thank you Jeanie for your honest evaluation. Evaluation is an important part of planning these conferences (that is why we ask women to complete the evals in the listening guides at every conference). We really read these and tweak the different conferences. We want to improve every time by adjusting schedules, times, and/or adding extra enhancements that will make the conference meaningful (ie the art reveal/storyboards). Thank you for your comments and I will pass them on to the appropriate people at LifeWay. Thanks again for worshiping with us and digging deeper into the Word of God at Deeper Still!

Michelle: Is there anyway to post the commission statement that Beth had us recite. I know many of us from Atlanta have been waiting for the Vegas event in hopes that it would be posted either here or on Beth's blog. It blessed me and my companions so much that I would love to have it to reflect back on! Thank you and may the LORD continue to BLESS this ministry!! :o)

I just wanted to say that my life is changed forever more, thanks to the wonderful ladies, Beth, Kay, and Pracilla...thank you for your obedience to God and going forth to teach His word! I layed down an addiction that weekend, had multiple answered prayers, and fell in love with God!!! How amazing it was for me, a simple principle, to get into the Word of God and read it for yourself and let God speak to you personaly. Simple as it sounds, I couldn't get that for months, I was a point of no learning or hunger for the Word of God. But wento to bible studies and church and listened to them. What I learned was to open that book, and by the way I have heard that SO much in past months it's rediculous, and for some reason, that weekend was it for me. The moment I walked into the arena and sat down, I was done! Cried, cried, cried, if I wasn't crying because I was laughing I was crying because I was crying. I loved it! This was my first convention and I will NEVER forget it. It is life changing and I am so full of Joy and Love from the Lord right now. Thank you ladies, and worship team for making this event so special for me, I believe this was all for me. I know others have had life changing events as well, but God spoke to me powerfully that weekend and I will forever treasure that moment! Thank you for your ministries!!!!

Michelle,
I may be too late but I wanted to check once again on the possibility of still getting Deeper Still t-shirts. My email is fiscusmj@yahoo.com. If you've already emailed me about this, would you mind resending? It may have ended up in Spam and then inadverently discarded.
Thank you,
Jane

Hey Michelle,
I was wondering if the audio or a transcript of the Q&A time at Deeper Still is available?
Thanks!
Jessica

Sorry Jessica it doesn't look like there will be a transcript or audio of the Panel Discussion for the 2008 Deeper Still events--maybe next year! Thanks for asking!

Jane--I am still checking into that--I have your email and will contact you personally if we are able to sell any t-shirts outside of the events. Right now they are still only available only at the event locations during the Deeper Still events.
