At this year's National Worship Leader Conference, the LifeWayWorship team hosted a Rock Band contest.  The winners of the contest recieved a a PS3 and the Rock Band set they won on!  When I heard about the contest, I decided to add a little extra touch to the PS3, and we installed a LifeWayWorship theme.

Now, you too can install this theme on your PS3.

First, click the link below and download the actual theme.

To install the them, you will need to move it onto a USB flash drive or memory card that works with your PS3.  Place the file in the following folder:

/PS3/Theme

Then, on the PS3 go to "System Settings" and select "Theme."  In the theme menu, simply select "Install" and you should be given the option to put the LifeWayWorship theme on your system!  Enjoy!

KNOWN Fall 08 Digital Downloads

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

On August 1st, the new KNOWN site went live!  KNOWN is the new student Bible study series LifeWay is producing.  In an effort to give users more accessibilty, the resources are also available as digital downloads.  We had a few snags getting everything up and running correctly (it's technical mumbo-jumbo, but these products are entered into our back system a touch differently than our previous digital products, so we had to make some adjustments) and we're proud to be able to send you that way!

I also want to make sure I mention the free downloadable products available from the actual KNOWN site.  Each session has complimentary Insights (Biblical commentary and application materials) and Options (creative teaching ideas).  There's even a free bonus session for Thanksgiving.

The Student department has gone out of their way to make the KNOWN product have some strong digital resources, and I'm proud to have been a part of this process!

Greetings and Salutations!

Welcome to LifeWay's Digital Media Blog!

I'm Aaron Linne, the lead digital media producer here at LifeWay.  What that means is I'm involved in the day-to-day process and work of creating and releasing our digital content.  From our site we distribute downloadable Bible studies, video elements for worship services, PDF workbooks and guides, and plenty of music resources.

For the past year we've been in the beginnings of our digital iniative, and have found that - without reservation - more and more churches are wanting more and more digital content.  We see the digital landscape continuing to grow for both us at LifeWay and the Church as a whole.  Our hope is that this blog can help keep you informed with what LifeWay's doing to help meet your digital needs.

While this post is our first official post for the blog, you may notice that there is a number of preceeding posts announcing our product releases and containing our LifeWay Conversations videos.  In the past, as a LifeWay enthusiast, I was placing this content on my personal blog.  Now that we've opened up this blog, you'll be able to find the latest news on our digital offerings right here.

Our LifeWay Conversations is a series of videos with various LifeWay talent talking about their passions, products and roles.  I love being able to give a truly open, unedited look into the work that goes on here in our Nashville offices.

We'll also be looking at the digital medium as a whole on here, and how it intersects with our churches and lives.  The primary call of LifeWay's Church Resources Division is to support our churches; I hope this blog can serve as a resource to help your church navigate the ever-increasing digital waves.

Thanks for stopping by, and please feel free to say "hi."  The more feedback you give, the more we can engage your needs.  Enjoy!

This week we were able to release three products I've been working on for our digital download products!  I'm excited about the progress we're making with get products out and released.  We're beginning to establish quite a number of products in various age groups for various uses including individual study, group use, and piece to help with sermons or worship.  I continue to be amazed at the support that the leaders here at LifeWay are giving to the downloadable products.

Can We Talk

Priscilla Shirer leads the "Can We Talk" Bible Study through seven sessions  In this study, you will respond to a variety of biblical passages, prompted by thought-provoking questions, and develop a Christ-focused view on important issues and experience a closer walk with their Creator.  Priscilla uses a unique, four-step teaching method to truly engage the Bible in her own way to pull you in deeper.

The downloadables are offered as both an individual use, personal file size and a standard definition file for use within a small group.

You can purchase the videos here.

Men Are Like Waffles, Women Are Like Spaghetti

I first heard about this study from my wife, who absolutely loved the concept.  The title says it all, as Bill and Pam explore the differences between men and women.  The Farrels want to be able to help spouses understand how men and women think differently and deal with life and emotions differently.  The study is a great series that can help a couple truly better understand one another and I'm honestly excited that we're being able to make it available for download so couples can view it together.

The downloadables are offered as both an individual use, personal file size and a standard definition file for use within a small group.

You can purchase the videos here.

Freedom From Busyness

The very first downloadable product I worked on fore LifeWay wasMike Zigarelli's Influencing Like Jesus.  Mike is a genuinely nice guy, and I've loved working with him in the few interactions we've had.  With that, I'm excited to be able to release his older study, Freedom from Busyness as a downloadable as well.

The five sessions are offered as both an individual use, personal file size and a standard definition file for use within a small group.

You can purchase the videos here.
