In St. Louis-- Updated

Tonight, I will be preaching that Saint Louis Metro Baptist Association and, I think, hanging out with the StlBaptist church planters afterward. St. Louis is a great city and the Association has a great vision... it should be a good night…

Updated: and it was:

Jim Breedan did his usual great work. Darren Casper let me have a good natured fun.

Lynne Jackson was there and shared her thoughts about racial unity and the gospel. She indicated there cannot be racial healing without spiritual healing. Lynne is the great great granddaughter of Dred Scott and attends a racially integrated church (affiliated with the Saint Louis Association). She also works with the Dred Scott Historical Society.

The Association admitted three new church plants: Fellowship Church, Matthias Lot, and The Journey, the most ever admitted in one meeting.

I preached from Luke 24:46-48:
1. The Centrality of the Cross
2. The Centrality of the Message (Repentance and Forgiveness of Sins)
3. The Centrality of Personal Witness (Incarnational and Personal)

Afterward, I visited with a bunch of great church planters at a local restaurant. These guys are amazing-- risking so much for the gospel and the church. I was humbled to be with them.

But, it's late, and that's all I can think of for tonight!

Ed, I'm a little late, but know that I'm praying for God's favor on you tonight in St. Louis. I am confident that God will use you greatly for His glory and the building up of the pastors and leaders there. I'm also praying that God would grant you a wonderful week in the grip of His grace.

An aspiring mega-missional pastor.

Eric
