The trend that won’t quit: Silly Bandz
I thought this trend would die quickly, but apparently, it’s going to be around a while longer. And it’s not just younger girls who are loving these bracelets. Around Nashville, older teens are sporting them too.
Facebook vs. MySpace
You probably know this already, but most teenagers use Facebook over Myspace. In fact, in recent focus groups I’ve conducted, Facebook users consistently outnumber MySpace users, especially in the South. So if you’re looking to connect with your girls online, use Facebook, not MySpace.
Where students shop
I just got back from conducting a focus group in Texas. And what I found out about these teenager’s shopping habits didn’t surprise me. Student’s favorite stores, no matter where they are in the country, are: American Eagle, Target, Hollister, and Wal-Mart.
