At first look, it seemed like it was going to be a very good study but then I changed my mind. I was leafing through the book in the bookstore and I noticed a chart that had some topics that I was not comfortable discussing with my teen girls, so I decided I would not buy it and would not recommend it.
In response to the comment by Jeanne, readers should be aware that in chapter three, Esther contains an opportunity for students to record their fears for not giving into certain pressures. Among those pressures listed is oral sex. We recognize that this is a topic that might not be appropriate for younger teenage girls, but given the rise in this activity and the reality that many parents are not talking about issues like this at home, we felt it was important to include this possible pressure.
