In 1983, and each year since, April has been declared Child Abuse Prevention Month. It is a time to raise awareness on types of abuse, how to get help, and steps to take to prevent abuse and neglect. The Child Welfare Information Gateway is a great information site provided as a service of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.For your church, we endorse MinistrySafe as a resource to help churches in the area of Sexual Abuse Awareness. MinistrySafe offers child sexual abuse awareness training, policies and procedures, applications forms, reference check forms, interview forms, and instructional documents for churches.
