Help Us With Our New Design ... Coming March 2011
I have had the privilege of working on ParentLife for seven years (I can hardly believe it ... time flies)! Over those seven years, I've been a part of several redesigns of the magazine. It's always a lot of work, but it's always very exciting and well worth the effort!
In the past few months, our team has been working hard behind the scenes on a new design for ParentLife that will be launching in March 2011. And I must say ... it is by far my favorite design so far! I can't wait to get it into your hands and see what you think! We hope you will find it to be beautiful, refreshing, and open with the same great content you've come to expect!
Today, we're giving you a tiny sneak peek ... the cover! We want the first cover of the new design to be the best cover yet, but we need your help.
Below are five of our favorite cover choices. Let us know which cover is your favorite by leaving a comment!
Cover 1 (below)

I chose #5 because it was the only cover that I could actually read the words "encouraging words for moms & dads" clearly. The other colors seem to fade into the header color.

Thanks so much, Diane. We're really just looking at cover photos at this point. If you had to pick just based on the photo, would you have voted differently?

I love cover one.

#2 has my vote.

Cover #2! Every single one is precious - but #2 makes me laugh, and laughing is something all parents need to do a lot of!
Plus, I like the little reflection in the faucet! And I have a video of my son when he was about that age, with a face & arm positions almost identical to the photo - made while he was singing "Deep and Wide". Too cute.

I love #2 because it is a classic little boy, and I really like #4 - girls love God's creatures just as much as boys. They are all great photos!

I like #2 best, because my 2 year old son does a face just like that little boy, so it made me smile. #4 is a great photo too.

I vote for #5. I think it is sweet and fun!

I like #5 because I love blue eyed blonde headed boys. I have two of my own, now 16 yrs and 24 yrs. My brunette son that attends Baylor University is pretty awesome too. Wish I could take my guys back to the cute age of this cover shot. How precious those days were.

I like cover 5 the best since it's a close up, a very clear picture, and I love those big beautiful blue eyes! Is that Jack?

I'd go with #1. The photo fits the headliner story and has some action to it, but I would be concerned about the secondary story verbiage being harder to read with the grassy background. I'm guessing it looks better in print than a smaller compressed thumbnail here, so I'll still go with that one.
Second choice is #5. And you know I'll forget about this before March rolls around...

My first choice is #3. Second choice is #2.

I love them all, but I vote #1 because I think it fits the story of 'Stress Less, Enjoy More'. Seems like that is exactly what that cute little girl is doing. I love it.

#3 - Catching bubbles ... what a stress reliever!
#1 is 2nd choice - carefree!

I think #2 - it made me laugh. Number #3 is adorable too...well they all are!
