Suzanne:

I like to spread my Christmas shopping out throughout the year. I did do some black Friday shopping today for the first time ever. More than anything, it was just fun to be out and about with my younger sister (we don't live close and both have young families.)

Two traditions: Making Christ the main focus of Christmas. Spending time with extended family. Grandparents do not live close so that's important. We have also done shoeboxes for another country and Angel Tree gifts with our kids for other kids.

Donna :

I like to get the majority of my Christmas shopping done early in December but it is also fun to go to the mall close to Christmas just to see all the men scrambling to find gifts.

I'm usually rushing around at the last minute a couple weeks before Christmas. Most of my shopping is done Online, since my family is scattered from coast to coast and we seldom see everyone at the same time. Gift cards are better since shipping costs can get expensive.

Customs: We used to make Christmas tree sugar cookies and the kids decorated them with frosting and sprinkles (the ones they didn't eat).

Amy:

I like to start shopping on Black Friday, but not in the middle of the night! I try to have everything finished by the first weekend in December, so I don't have to worry about what to buy and can really enjoy the season!

I always have great ideas before hand but always seem to end up shopping the week of Christmas...

Vicki:

I usually do my Christmas shopping in December, though I might pick up a gift that I spot that is just right for someone before then.

One tradition we have at our home is the placing of a small wooden nativity that was given to me by an aquaintence just before he passed away.

Timothy J Knorr:

We do most of our big shopping on black Friday and that first Saturday after Thanksgiving. We find small items thru out the coarse of the year to give out especially items we find when we are traveling.

My mom always gives out ornaments to the grandkids. I have the ones that she gave me when I was a kid. When you decorate the tree it always brings back memories of past Christmas's and let's you connect with your kids to show the importance of just one small gift will have in your life.

Jenny Follett:

I like to go Christmas Shopping the day after Thanksgiving! My husband and I like to find the best deals and try to beat the crowds! :o)

If I find something spectacular earlier in the year I will buy it, but typically I do most of my shopping starting on Thanksgiving and the few weeks after.

Natalie J. Vandenberghe:

I don't like to Christmas shop! In fact, I'm not much of a shopper in general (the only thing I like to buy is food). As far as Christmas presents go, I'm pretty lucky this year--I've won a few prizes that will make very nice gifts :)
Thanks for the giveaway.
