I have to admit ... after yesterday's Real Life Solution, I couldn't STOP thinking of ways to beat boredom this summer! Here are some more we've collaborated for you. These are all cheap or nearly free: my favorite way to do things! — Jessie
- Backyard Adventures
- Subscribe to deal sites such as Groupon or Living Social Family. You might get a great deal for something you didn't even know existed in your city!
- The Kids' Summer Fun Book by Claire Gillman and Sam Martin
- Do science experiments—some fun learning
- Make a summer "bucket list" by asking your kids for ideas of what they'd like to do this summer.
- 101 Ways to Embrace Summer at Organizing Your Way
- Mom I'm Bored Activity Cards at The Happy Housewife
- Go bowling for free! In all 50 states and Canada, bowling centers are trying to help over 2 million children bowl for free this summer. You can search for a center and check out the details at KidsBowlFree.com.
- Rave Theaters have free movies at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays this summer! Movies are G and PG rated.
