And we're just getting started
Melanie - June 27, 2008
Oh Ladies.
Before tonight, I had never attended a Deeper Still Event.
Let's just say that I am a fan.
In fact, it was totally worth getting up at 4 a.m., packing only a carry-on and waiting in the longest airport security lines EVER.
I'd do it all over again. Even the 4 a.m. part.
Priscilla Shirer brought a WORD tonight about when God calls you into the wilderness. And I can't really get into more than that tonight or I will start to cry all over again.
But rest assured I took about six or eighteen pages of notes and will write a full re-cap next week. It was incredible.
In the meantime, here are some pictures.
This is the sea of women waiting to get into Philips Arena.
That is a lot of women.
Travis brought the house down during worship and not just because he was wearing a really cool vest.
I think y'all know who these ladies are.
We'll be back with more tomorrow, but I have now been up close to 24 hours.
Goodnight from Atlanta.

Keep the pictures coming! I feel like I’m right there.
Hugs and sweet dreams girls~ Fran

Yeah, sorry. The ATL airport is one of the largest and longest to get through in the country. When I go to other airports the difference in size is amazing. Glad y’all were able to go!

Wasn’t it just the best? I had to miss the Nashville one (something about giving birth, doctors would be mad, etc, etc. lol) I just loved Priscilla. And oh my, did Kay speak the truth or what? And Beth…I think she gets a little more hyper everytime I see her!
I saw you & Sophie down there right next to everyone, rubbing shoulders and all ;)

My friend and I commented on the way home from Atlanta of how these ladies so inspired us to a deeper walk with God. My hunger for God was almost unbearable! I realized that what we saw was the result of their CLOSE, PERSONAL relationship with God. While I may (most likely) never be the Bible teachers they are, I can PRAISE GOD have that same relationship with Him that they do. This was a life changing experience for me! Thank you sooooo much!!

What a weekend!!!!! These three women are so inspirational, The Spirit of God was surely among us. I am so thankful that we have women that love Jesus and have a passion for others to have that same passion.
Thank you to Beth, Kay and Priscilla for your obedience to God and for sacrificing your time to let Him use you. I made several commitments to God during our confrence June 27-28 and I am so excited to see what God is going to do in me and my family.
