So, tell us about it
Melanie - August 4, 2008
A few of you left comments on Paige's post about the simulcast this weekend and, from what I can gather, it sounds like it was incredible.
I am so excited, and not at all jealous, that so many of you (70,000!) were able to experience such an awesome weekend through the marvel of modern technology.
Well, maybe 98% excited and 2% jealous.
Okay, let's just say I'm 50/50.
I'm just consoling myself by knowing that in just three short weeks, I'll be hearing Beth and Travis and the Praise Team live and in person in San Antonio.
But, for now, I want to live vicariously through you. If you were in Louisville or participated in the simulcast at a local church, tell us about it in the comments.
What did Beth talk about? What songs did Travis sing? How was the technology? Was it incredible to know that you were worshiping along with 70,000 other women around the world? How did Beth's hair look? Did she have on a darling outfit?
In other words, don't leave anything out.

OK! I’ll tell you! Beth’s hair was AWESOME! Not a single strand out of place. And yes, her outfits were darling. Bright, colorful, hip and current and yet modest to the T. And the teaching………powerful, spot on, convicting and edifying. Luke 8, the parable of the sower, and 100-fold harvest. We were blessed, all praise and glory to Him!

well melanie, kelly summed it up..it was great..she had on orange jackets both days..i kept being distracted by the enemy thinking “which one was cute, yesterday or today” i def like the sat jean better..the friday ones had some black band stripes that could ONLY be cute her;; seriously, the teaching was so PRACTICAL and where you live WITHOUT CONDEMNATION…it was all about being in the word and protecting that and it just really hit home..so timely considering the quiet time talk we had here recently..it was just good good good. and very real and travis and team were great.

It was absolutely amazing! To know that 70,000 were worshiping together, all around the country and in a few foreign lands - incredible!! Finally, a GOOD use for technology! Beth’s hair was great, and I’m thinking it’s a bit blonder now and looking good! And the outfits, darlin’ (of course). And the Word - it was life giving. I took so many notes, I nearly got writer’s cramp ;o) If every hearer of the message went out and “lived it”, just think of the impact - the Maximum Impact- we’d have in our culture. So ladies, let’s just do it! Live out the 100-fold harvest! I want to be the “good soil” and I will not let satan take away the Word God has placed in my heart. He has equipped us to be “compently compentent” so let’s sow the seed He has given us and press on until the harvest.

Oh it was AWESOME! The music was FABULOUS, of course…”Shackles”, “Mighty to Save”, “The Revelation Song” (my favorite), etc. I agree with Holly…the teaching was so practical and without condemnation. My heart was touched and changed!
I’m sure hearing Beth and Travis in person in San Antonio will be so wonderful.

Hey girlfriends!! From Evansville, IN—Chrstian Fellowship Church! WOW!! 70,000 women of substance sowing the seed in good soil!! I don’t know about you, but that makes my hair curl!! I came in Friday night unable to feel God’s love for me, but the Lord has planted the truth from John 10:10 that “Christ came that we may have life abundantly”!! I pray I will treasure the wonder, dig the roots, stop the choke, and live out the 100-fold harvest!! Your Evansville siesta, Mandy

The ability to attend this event with 70,000 other people - yet from the comfort of a close and smaller location (without bathroom lines and parking issues) was incredible! (Most of the time, at large events, we are watching the screen anyway!) I attended via a church in Nashville, and with the lights in the sanctuary low, creating an intimate feel, it seemed that we were right there in Louisville. (I have a friend who attended in upstate New York, and it felt like she was right down the row from me!)
Since those posting before me shared about the awesome music, message, and Beth’s clothes and hair, I thought I would share something about the technology:
We have been praying that this event could be pulled off in a way that only God can get the glory for it - and that’s just what He did. At our location, we would occasionally get a blank screen - just for a second, while still hearing sound - then the screen would pop back on. We never missed a thing. Then at the VERY END - during (what I assume was the last song) “In Christ Alone”, at the last chorus of that song, the screen and sound froze, and didn’t come on again.
What a reminder and testimony this was that it was Christ alone that held this entire simulcast together for each of the 715 locations. There was nothing else for us to do but to give Him praise for allowing us to see every bit of it until the last song. We stood there focusing on the frozen words on the screen “Here in the power of Christ we stand”. It was a powerful ending to an even more powerful event. To God be the glory - great things He has done!

Beth was FABULOUS! She looked darling as usualy and Travis was AWESOME as well. I attended the simulcast in a small church in Missouri - it was an incredible fellowship and worship experience… OK- but the heart of the matter - THE WORD!!!! Here’s my summary of Beth’s teaching
100 Fold Word The main Scripture was Luke 8:3-15 The Parable of the Sower. She said that if want to get our promised 100fold we have to sow the seed in good soil. Here are the 7 steps to reaching our promised 100fold 1. Treasure the wonder - the seed is the WORD - it has power to transform. Respect it 2. Protect your heart - the enemy can steal the Word we receive - put keep the Word hidden in your heart - down deep so that it gets into the blood and the very marrow of our bones. 3. Expect the test - We will be tested when we receive the Word. Tests are either trials sent by God to teach us to stand or temptations sent by the enemy so that we will fall. We have to be strong in both and cling to the Word. 4. Dig the roots - if we want to bear fruit we have to have deep roots - our roots are only as deep as our conviction that we are LOVED by God. 5. Stop the choke. We have to stop what chokes the word in us - namely, anxiety. We have to turn our worries over to God in prayer- confessing that we trust God’s authority in every situation. 6. Retain the Word - get a daily dose of Scripture - a manageable amount so that we can retain it and it will stay with us. 7. Press forth to our promised 100fold! - The harvest takes time in coming - don’t give up! We need to persevere to the end.
That was it in a nutshell - there were classic Beth stories and illustrations of these points and of course Travis mived us all to a place of open hearts to receive this teaching. It was awesome!
Thanks!

I attended in Litchfield, MN. It was a small group — 50-60 I think. I thought Beth’s hair looked great — fresh! (No roots…) Love her clothes and the praise team’s clothes. Cannot get enough of “In Christ Alone.” Even sang that in church Sunday morning and I was on the praise team! :) Great simulcast!!

As always,Beth delivers the word with POWER and great PASSION!!
I was in a small church in Mandeville, La.
I went with a friend Friday night, (her world was rocked), and then on Saturday with my daughter in love. She was not able to attend the Friday night session.
This was a first for her. OH MY…she was deeply touched. At the end when we were instructed to hold hands with the sister next to us, look strait into her eyes as we proclaimed those 7 points, I fell completely apart. Tears everywhere!! Such an intimate touching moment in our lives.
Daughter in love is officially HOOKED!!
Everything ran so smoothly. Worship, just incredible.
What a great idea, I pray Beth is working on the next live simulcast as I’m writing this!!
Blessings♥
I loved Beth’s shirt on Saturday, where did she get it?

A group of us attended in Duncan, OK around 40 total, but the ladies of First Baptist made us all feel so welcome and to watch the simulcast experience, made me feel like I was in Lu a val! Once, I even found myself looking at the front of the santuary for Beth as Travis was praising! HeeHee.
Loved it - I wish more events could be simulcast.
Thanks for everything.

I attended the simulcast in a small group of about 50 women. It was great! I posted my response to it, and some notes from it, on my blog at: http://ellen-thereasonforthehope.blogspot.com/

I was not able to attend because the simulcast was not offered in an area closed to me. Lynn - thank you so much for a detailed summary.

She (being Mama Beth, of course) has got to be the most precious tiny little thing! I can’t wait to meet her in less than 3 weeks!!!
Everyone has pretty much captured what happened during the simulcast. We had the same technological experiences with some tiny little glitches and the simulcast just ending at 12 on the dot Saturday.
It was almost overwhelming to think I was worshipping with over 70,000 people at the same time. It choked me up whenever I thought about it.
This was my first simulcast, but it won’t be my last :-). I saw Joel Osteen at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center earlier this year. We had to sit so far up that we could only view the screens. I couldn’t see the stage. I feel like I got more out of the simulcast (maybe because I wasn’t scared I was going to fall down flights of seats or I wasn’t out of breath by the time I got to my seat).
I have a new favorite song that keeps playing in my head - Revelation Song. Love it!
One of the most powerful times was close to the end when we faced another and repeated what Mama Beth said. Shew…

I attended in a small church in Idaho…to have the technology in place to allow us to participate in this awesome event was spectacular. Lynn summed it up pretty well. I will add a few: Gog has an accomplished purpose for your life. Does Satan have dirt on you, well God makes the dirt into “good soil”, our pain will birth our passion, be a woman of substance, competently competent and confident, definition of noble and good-noble is beautiful, good is beneficial-so to be noble and good means to be beautiful and beneficial-We are left on this earth to be a benefit to others. Sow your seed in the morning that way the Word will be with you all day long. It was life changing and I Know San Antonio will be the same for you.

What a fantastic event! I was afraid that attending a simulcast, after attending Deeper Still events in person (twice), would be like watching a movie of “life” vs. actually living it. I must admit the simulcast was every bit as powerful and moving. I attended with 7-8 women from my church at the First Baptist in Hendersonville TN location. The women’s group there all wore cute little lavender t-shirts and were available for our every question and need.
My hubby and I are big dog people, so I really enjoyed telling him Beth’s story of her two puppies and how the smart one (hers) brought a stick to the dumb one (his) and dragged him over to their Dog Daddy — cuz the dumb one wouldn’t come when Dog Daddy called him. And the connection Beth made from that to how Jesus is persistent in getting us to hear our Father calling us . .
At our satellite location, I think the best part was at the very end, when Travis and the praise band were almost at the end of In Christ Alone. All of a sudden our connection went out and the screens went blank. Without a hiccup, the entire sanctuary of women just kept singing. We sang the final chorus one last time all by ourselves, no words and no music. It reminded me so much of how Travis and the band do it at the live events. They’ll be singing and all the women in the huge arena are standing and singing too. The lights kind of dim gradually so you don’t really notice. Then you realize that the band has stopped playing their instruments and it’s just voices singing. And then the singers have left the stage and it’s just thousands of womens’ voices singing a capella in the dark. A goose bump moment for sure.
Thank you Beth Moore, thank you LifeWay for offering these wonderful events. They have helped my faith walk so very much.

The simulcast was really good. I attended in Pierre, SD and we had over a 100 women I would guess - but it just isn’t the same as live. However, I will take what I can get and will do it again in a heartbeat!!
I loved Travis’s song “2000 Years”. I had not heard that one before and it really moved me. I thought about this subject quite a bit at Easter this year and I really believe had I been alive 2000 years ago I would have missed Christ. I think I would have been caught up in the old testament way and Christ would have been too different - I am so saddened but I am afraid I wouldn’t have believed.
Beth took such a common parable and pulled so much out of it I never related to that parable before. God is awesome!
