Here's a few things

I'm going to be honest.
Yesterday completely won.
It just beat me down and I ended the evening in tears because I was out of powdered sugar. But just so you don't think I'm overreacting, let me explain that I needed the powdered sugar to make the chocolate icing for the chocolate cake I'd made to drown out the day.
Clearly, it was a powdered sugar emergency.
Anyway, here are three quick things.
1. Who's going to be in Las Vegas for Deeper Still this weekend? Leave us a shout out in the comments.
Tickets are still available if you want to go. We'd love to see you there.
2. I went to the LifeWay store today and, after much deliberation, my Bible study group has decided to do Priscilla Shirer's "Discerning the Voice of God" for the Fall.
Yes, I realize it's September, which is technically the Fall, but we're a little behind. We'll start the study in two weeks.
If any of you want to buy the book and play along at home, I'd love for us to do the study together and have weekly discussions about what we're learning in the comments. Let me know if you're interested.
3. The bright spot in yesterday, other than learning that you can put granulated sugar in a blender and make powdered sugar, was the release of Chris Tomlin's new CD "Hello Love".
It's every bit as good as I thought it would be. So far, I particularly like "All the Way My Savior Leads Me" and "My Beloved".

I just heard some of the new Chris Tomlin on Sirius this morning. Be picking it up along with the study guide for ‘A Heart Like His’.

Hey - you are right on time - the first day of fall is September 22!! I am anxious to hear how your study goes. I finally decided on Nancy Leigh DeMoss “Surrender” for our study and we will start this fall too (which is in a couple weeks:)!!

You can out regular sugar in a blender and make powdered sugar? WHAT? Why has no one ever told me this? And how strange that I discover it on the Lifeway blog.
It’s gonna be an interesting day, fa sure.

I needed powdered sugar yesterday for chocolate icing as well! Who knew you could blend up regular sugar to get powdered!? That’s awesome!! I hope your day is a good one!

Hey Sophie…
When does the Discerning the Voice of God Study start?
I was checking it out - cause I hate to miss the teaching parts when I do a study —- those of us not doing it in a group - just here online can download audio clips for each week’s session at Lifeway…
That is a great blessing to me… You know?
Looking forward to it. I think it is $25.00 for the 6 sessions … don’t know if there is tax, but it is a download so that file is yours to keep.
