New England Nights

Sophie - October 13, 2008

I have no idea how many residents of New England read this blog.

You should not be surprised by this fact since I really don't have any idea how many people read this blog, period.

I do, however, love every single one of you to pieces. We're totally BFFs.

So if you read this blog and happen to live in New England, you definitely need to know about something that's going on in your neck of the woods this week: New England Nights with Beth Moore.

Beth, Travis and the Lifeway event team were in Vermont Monday night, and they'll be in New Hampshire tonight, Delaware Thursday night and Connecticut Friday night. The Connecticut event is sold out, but there are still tickets available for New Hampshire and Delaware.

And if you're like me and you can't be there to celebrate the fact that in the last ten years Living Proof has served in all 50 states, then you can certainly follow along on Beth's blog...she's already written two great posts about her time in Vermont.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll get back to singing "Weekend in New England," which has been on a constant loop in my brain while I've been writing this post. In fact, it's taking all the restraint I have not to quote it right now.

I mean, I feel the change comin'. I feel the wind blow. I feel brave and daring. I feel my blood flow.

I'm so sorry, y'all. I couldn't help it. It's a sickness.

Have a great Tuesday!

I can’t get Watermark’s “Welcome to Delaware” out of my head. But it’s delightful so I don’t mind. I wish I was in New England…

I heart you even more for quoting one of Barry’s all time greatest songs.

New England in the Fall with Beth Moore and Travis. What an awesome combination.
May God be glorified.

I’LL BE IN DELAWARE ON THURSDAY WITH 25 OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS!!!! WE ARE SO EXCITED TO SEE “OUR FRIEND” BETH!!!

Ha! I love it!

It takes me back to the all-nighter study sessions that my neighbor, Cassie, at Jester (University of Texas) and I had. We’d study and then have a Barry Manilow break and sing at the top of our lungs!! and then we’d go back to our instant hot cocoa and studying some more.

Those were some good times.

Praying for Beth and the team all this week.

Alison:

Dearest Beth,

How do I begin to thank you. Your love of the Lord Jesus Christ has resurrected me from two life crisis.

I first met you in 2001. My husband was on trail for a crime he was found guilty of by the law. But,he was really innocent…I was the one who caused all of the heart ache and chaos.

As I sat sequestered in the outer room from the court room for hours to hear his conviction by the jury, I met his expert witness and PHd atty to testify as his expert witness….

She and I got talking about the Lord.

She brought you and the Lord into my life. you changed our (my husband and my family life around. I have one son at UNH!!! a Jr in the business school..and a son who is a sophomore at the only Catholic College in Maine, Saint Joseph’s college, and a third child who is 13 in middle school.

Since then, I have taken many of your studies

Then, my dad , whom was as close to as you can imagine, ( I TOTALLY WORSHIPED MY FATHER) died on Christmas Eve 2007.

I simply dropped into a pit of depression. If the devil was ever dancing, he was dancing on my devastating emotional loss of my father.

I have been the walking- living dead…

Your event at UNH completely shook me out of my trance.

I learned from you, on September 14 at the Whittemore Ctr, I do not want to be one of the walking-living-dead.

I want to be a warrior.

I will read the Word everyday and say the name OF Jesus Christ aloud!

I will ask the Lord to reign over all parts of my life that are in darkness so His Glory will delight in my l

This was a really long email an thank you for taking the time to read it.

You are as cute as a button, BTW and look no where near the age of a grandmother of tow! You look barlkey 30…if that!

Thanks for setting me back on track with the Lord. I just know Satan has been counting on my name in his register until now…unitl Sept 14 at UNH when the Lord took me back through you!!! God Bless,

Carmel:

I was at the CT New England Night. I was blessed beyond measure by the whole evening. I had never heard Beth speak, nor read any of her books, but I knew God had something to say to me, so when I was invited, I accepted, and went waiting to receive something. I was not disappointed! God spoke to my heart through Beth’s lips, through the praise of the worship team. I cannot be the same after Friday night. Love and God’s blessing to you all!

Jennifer macleod:
