So that was good.

I'm sitting in a hotel room outside of Atlanta right now, and Travis Cottrell finished the live recording of his new worship CD (at First Baptist Church Woodstock) about an hour and a half ago. I'm still a little keyed up from the whole thing, but I thought I'd share a few thoughts before I try to settle down and go to bed.
1. The whole night was awesome.
2. No, really. It was seriously awesome.
3. I think there were about 6,000 people there.
4. And those 6,000 people were flat-out praising the Lord.
5. Travis and his praise team, band and the FBC Woodstock choir did a phenomenal job leading us in worship.
6. Look! Travis' shoes!

7. The shoes held up beautifully.
8. Beth Moore spoke about worship. And it was a mighty good word. SHOCKING, I know.
9. All in all it was just a really special time with sweet friends.
10. And if you weren't there, we totally missed you.
11. You'd better be there next time, I'M NOT KIDDING.
12. Now go have you a flat-out wonderful day.

I totally missed being there too! So glad it was amazing. And I’m definitely in next time—as long as it’s not one of my kiddos’ birthdays.

Last night was truly AWESOME! Pure, authentic, heartfelt WORSHIP! God used it to speak to the deepest places in my heart! Oh my thirsty soul just drank in every bit!
Travis’ voice amazing as always… the choir, music, just awesome, Beth and Travis both spoke about worship with such authenticity and transparency (as always) it was so rich… so real… beautiful… Oh how I wish I could write… I really can’t put it to into words… but I came away changed! And I am still singing!
I am thankful… so thankful! Can’t wait to see what God is going to do with this album!
POWERFUL! Have a blessed day!

I was praying for all my sisters that were able to attend. My heart knew that you would be blessed to receive a word “Beth Moore” and hearts would be taken up with amazing worship “Travis Cottrell”. I truly wish that I could have been there.

What a night!! I was there with Emmy, Lots of Scotts, and Joni’s Joy! Loved it. Every minute was awesome. The couple of songs that had to be re-recorded were icing on the cake. I love his new songs and old! Beth did an amazing job. It was a truly worship filled night! wendy

Oh my word, I am still trying to process everything I heard last night…both from the stage and whispered to my heart.
And was it just me or did Travis seriously do the “Rick Roll” at one point? :)
And thank you, Sophie, for being so gracious when I came up to say hi and truly, for sharing your fabulous highlights with all of us last night. They were wondermous!

Sophie, What an honor to meet you and hug your neck on Sunday night at Woodstock! The evening was awesome and you are right about the 6,000 people flat out praising the Lord. What a wonderful experience to carry us through the week.
My friend and I and our hubbies drove in from Alabama after Sunday school at our church in Hartselle and drove back home after the concert. It was worth every minute of the road trip!!! Love ya, Dianne
