The time, it does fly
Sophie - August 24, 2009
This afternoon I was in the car with my family when I suddenly thought, "Oh! It's simulcast week!" And I felt just a wee bit giddy inside because I know that so many churches are getting ready to throw open their doors to thousands of women this weekend. It's going to be incredible to see how God uses Beth, Travis & the praise team and the selfless hearts of people serving in churches all across this nation for His glory.
And do y'all know what else? After the simulcast is over, there are only two more Living Proof Live events this year. (How can that be? It seems like it was just a couple of weeks ago when we were all talking about LPL for Ministers' Wives. You know, back in February.)
Anyway, if you would like to make the trip to an LPL in the fall, you should definitely check out LPL Memphis on October 9-10 (Melanie and I will both be there - we are beyond excited) or LPL Springfield, IL on November 6-7.
Just think: after Springfield it'll pretty much be Christmas. And before you know it, it'll be August again. And I'll be writing another post about how it feels like I was just in Memphis way back in October.
I am nothing if not completely and utterly predictable.
Hope y'all have a great week!
And p.s. - If you're going to be at the simulcast, in Memphis OR in Springfield, let us know in the comments! The LifeWay team loves to be on the lookout for y'all!

I’ve had my tickets for Memphis for what seems like FOREVER and I absolutely can’t wait to get there. Still haven’t found my hotel for the weekend, but I’d sleep on Beale St. if I had to (probably not, because it can get a little scary, but the sentiment is true :))

I will be at LPL Memphis in October and am so excited that several of the ladies in our family will be there together. My brother and his wife and their sweet family serve as missionaries in Cameroon, West Africa with WorldTeam and they are home on furlough, so my sister-in-law will be there with me. Right now, it will be me, my sister, my sister-in-law, and hopefully my 2 daughters-in-law. We’re working on a few more family members also! Whoo hoo!!!! Can’t wait!!!

I will be in Springfield. I am so excited. I have had a year of catastrophic illness, came close to death and God has healed me and brought me to the place where I can come to worship him. I lost my hearing as part of my illness, and am completely deaf. After 39 years of hearing music and praising him, I am learning a new way of praise. I have had cochlear implants so I can hear sounds again, and can hear speakers in a conference now. God has blessed me with this gift of sound, no one thought I would regain my sounds like I have, but God knew, and I can’t wait to hear Beth bring the word. It will bring tears to my eyes to hear the praise music after so long wihtout sounds. God is good and I am ready to shout his name from the rooftops, or at least the Prairie Capitol Convention Center in Springfield. God bless you for bringing these events to us. Can’t wait to meet some of you. Tracy C in IL
