Friday morning flying

I worked as a pharmaceutical sales rep for over ten years of my life. I like to refer to it as the decade of dollars and desperation.
About five times a year there would be some meeting I'd have to attend that would require all sorts of painful things like role-playing various sales scenarios or eating dinner with people I didn't know, but the thing I dreaded most was the trip itself. The hassle of early morning flights, mediocre airport-variety Starbucks, and sitting in a metal tube for two or three hours while it flew through the air.
But the funny thing is that since I started blogging for LifeWay and attending four to five conferences a year, the travel doesn't bother me. I mean, sure, I'm still not a fan of getting up at an hour that roosters would deem early, but I'm excited about my destination.
Anyway, that's what I'm thinking about this morning as I'm waiting to board my flight to Orlando. Yes, it's early. Yes, the Starbucks is average. But I'm happy to take the trip because I know what's waiting for me on the other side.
I think there's a lesson in there somewhere.

I would lie if I said I wasn’t a little jealous:) HOWEVER, just having watched the “mean girl” session of Esther, and not wanting to go there at all, I am so very happy for you and know you will have a great time! Be safe and look forward to the updates!

Hey Melanie, I am so glad that I found you! I was so worried as I drove over to Orlando since I didn’t hear back from you before your flight left.
Thanks to Betsy Langmade…I found you!
I cried all the way home tonight after the event! I put on Angela’s song…”Running to the Merch Seat”! I have to tell you that I felt like after the week I had…..”Racing to the Mercy seat”! I felt so renewed in the Lord before I left tonight.
Last night after I heard Kay speak…I thought to myself…”This was for me”…thank you Jesus…in fact we all talked about how much Kay hit the nail right on the head! WOW!
Then comes Priscilla out this morning taking everyone…..”Way Beyond” what we could have expected. She was a true genuine blessing! I had never heard her before and I just loved her.
Yes….and leave it to Beth to tie it all up nicely with a big Bow on it!! Thank you Jesus for her annointing of the Holy Spirit! I will tell you that when Beth said she wanted to talk about something that the Lord had laid on her heart….my hairs stood up on my arm! I spoke in confidence just last night to one of the ladie in my room about how I felt like God has given me a “Little Extra” dose in the area of discernment.
Well I just have to tell you right now that…when she spoke those words….I am not kidding…I almost came up out of my chair with boths hands lifted high to Jesus. I was telling Travis while he was signing the C.D.’s for my station…that Kay really spoke to my heart last night….little did I know that Beth was about to make me go “GAGA!
I know you are probably use to the events…but I haven’t been to one in a couple of years and Sista…..I know the Lord has something so much bigger for me to do than I am qualified for.
Have you ever heard the phrase….”Not qualified for much…but I have been called by the Qualifier”! Well….I can do some serious negoitiating …all for Jesus of course.
I know you have access to the Lifeway Group and Beth and everyone .. please let them know that they were SUCH A BLESSING!Please keep me in prayer about what we talked about…today was a confirmation that ….his plans are so much bigger than mine….and for once in my life…I am not afraid of change if that is what God has in store for me….then so be it! Maybe I need to send Lifeway my resume! lol!
