And now a word from, well, you
Sophie - November 5, 2009
So I mentioned yesterday that there's going to be all sorts of live webcasting going on here at AllAccess next Friday, November 13th. And I also mentioned some of the people who are going to be on the webcast: Priscilla Shirer, Travis Cottrell, Kelly Minter, etc. and so on and so forth, amen.
But here's the thing: once those people sit down (or stand up - I really have no idea whether sitting or standing will be the webcast preference, so let's just pretend we land somewhere in the middle and everyone is sitting on a tall stool, thank you), Paige and Pam are going to need some questions for them. Since that's sort of how an interview works and all.
So.
You know how we usually ask y'all for questions for the panel part of Deeper Still? Well, we're going to do the same thing today. We need your questions - whether serious or light-hearted - for the webcast. Your questions can be directed to a particular person (Dear Priscilla, How do you make your hair so pretty? Love, Me) or your question can be general (Dear People, What's your favorite way to eat corn? Love, Me). And please know that if your question is general, you can expect to hear it over and over again because whoever's doing the interviewing will WEAR IT OUT and ask every single person about their favorite way to eat corn.
That's what you call hard-hitting journalism, my friends.
Leave your questions in the comments - and thanks in advance!

What are some of the ways you feed yourself when you are going through a desert time and there are people depending on you to feed them?(spiritually of course)

All of you have busy schedules and y’all travel a lot and I am wondering how you fit in your quiet time/prayer time? Do you have a favorite place in your home when you pray and study your Bible? I enjoy early morning prayer time and sitting on my deck was my fav place to pray.
Blessings, Patty

When you were first starting out in ministry, did you find it hard to find “your voice”, your unique gifts and personality that God wanted you to use? Were your tempted to model yourself closely after someone else or were you able to step out on your own fairly easily?

Travis - You asked us what we were listening to on your blog, so I ask you, what are you listening to?
All - Where do you find your “refreshment”? Is it a particular passage or verse, song, place?
And of course - HOW do you prefer to eat your corn? I’m a creamed corn fan myself.

I’m not a big fan of corn, but I would go for any chocolate recommendations.
What are some of the most meaningful words of encouragement you have received in your ministry?
And, tell us about your calling into ministry.

I have an easy question and a hard question:
easy: How old were you when you got saved? (ie: did you grow up in church or have a lightning bolt hit your car on a dark and stormy night?)
hard: Nobody is perfect, and we all fuss with our loved ones at some point or another. If everything’s not hunky-dory in your life at that very moment, how do you get up in front of a group of people and minister to them? What gets your mind off your issue and onto your ‘focus’… ?
I may not can listen in the whole time, but I’ll for sure be popping over here and there to listen in! What a neat idea! (would love to hear the bloggy parts too… will that be broadcast?)

As such strong bible teaching women (most of you), how do you balance that leadership role with being a wife and mom?
How do you stay in the word with your spouse at home, not doing it as part of your job, but as your family’s devotion time together?
