My dear friend Babbie Mason, gospel artist and song-writer, has an amazing gift of Calmness. She truly exudes calmness packed out with joy. During a recent women's event several of us had gathered to chat about the evening ahead. One friend accurately observed, "When Babbie is here, everything's alright!"
I thought about it then and I'm thinking about it now; what's true about Babbie is true about Jesus! "When Jesus is here, everything's alright!"
"It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." 1 Corinthians 1:30 (New International Version)
For some reason, we are blinded to getting what this verse really means. We read the scriptures and we repeat them as part of our religious vocabulary, but we often fail to lay hold of their practical worth for daily living.
Being "in Jesus Christ" is of tremendous practical value! We don't have to try to stock up on peace, joy, kindness, and gentleness. If Jesus Christ lives inside of us, we are already filled with that awesome fruit - and can at any moment, display it all for the glory of our Lord. We don't have to try to conjure up a little more patience and goodness. There's a fresh supply readily available living within!
Wow - pressure's off! I must simply take by faith, the possession that is already stored up for me in the righteousness of Christ. That's what I'm talkin' about! Right now, I'm reaching out with the hand of faith and grasping what's already mine. And for the rest of today, those around me are going to see a little more of Jesus exuding from this li'l frazzled female!

Cindi, As usual you put it so beautifully simple. It is wonderful to know that I have already been given ALL of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, etc. out there to have. I love your expression of Whew, the pressure is off. I plan to live daily with “the pressure off”. Jesus has already paid the price, relieved the pressure, etc. Thanks for the reminder.

If you ever have the opportunity to see Cindi Wood in person, please don’t miss it. She is an awesome speaker, and what a pleasure it was for us to have her this past weekend at our church.

I met Babbie briefly at a songwriting conference she was leading in Georgia. It was my college graduation present from my Dad 10 years ago.
You are right, in the few minutes I had to speak w/ her privately, I too, noticed a beautiful calmness about her. She is such a wonderful testimony to the love of God.

Cindi,This past weekend was awesome!! Thank-you! The cross we placed on our thumb is a visual reminder that we do have victory in Jesus. I put rhinestones on my cross so it would be more visual and everytime I try to take the burdens and sins out of the box you talked about I see the cross and it reminds me I have VICTORY in Jesus. JESUS JESUS SWEET JESUS

WOW is SOOOO excited about having Cindi with us. We are asking GOd to show up and show out through Cindi. I KNOW He will!!
