Frazzled Female Friday!

Girls, I want you to know something. And, I want you to know it in your heart of hearts! I want you to know it so completely, that you automatically turn to this truth each time your peace is ruptured or you become unsettled. I want you to grasp it when you become distracted by the stresses of daily living...THERE'S POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

His name is above every other name. His is the highest name, the most wonderful name in all of Heaven and earth. When you breathe His name through faith, you can stand victoriously in the midst of any circumstance that challenges your peace and your sanity.

Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:19 that there is unlimited and immeasurable power for us who believe...

Yes, believing in the Name of Jesus - what a gift! When we choose to call on His name with a genuine and humble heart, great power is released. And that power is wrapped in the assurance that our needs are resting in the very heart of God.

Girlfriends from Walker, Louisiana and Roxboro and Williamston in North Carolina - have recently gathered to focus on His Name. At each event, we grabbed our attention and focused it on Jesus. His joy and peace seemed to wash over us as we simply turned to face Him and with genuine hearts, breathed His Name.

I would love to hear how "simply turning to Jesus" is changing the course of your day. How is breathing His Name making a difference in your life?

I can tell you this; you delight the heart of God when you, in childlike wonder and trust, stop everything else, and call on His Name.

The stakeout

Last summer our pastor preached a wonderful sermon series on church discipline. It was such a beautiful picture of God's protection for us through our local body of believers. But since the topic of church discipline can sometimes be misunderstood, our communication ministry created some hilarious videos to preface each installment in the series.

Earlier today I remembered this video - mainly because it CRACKS ME UP - and I thought I'd share. If you've been a member of a church for longer than, oh, a week, you'll totally appreciate it.

Hope y'all have a happy Thursday!

Have you taken the journey yet?

Kelly's Loss, Love, Legacy has become one of my very favorite music CDs of late. Have ya'll ventured out to purchase it yet? And the RUTH study, oh so good. We'd love to hear from ya'll who have started the journey with Kelly and the study of RUTH. What's God showing and teaching you through this study? We would love to hear from you.

If you haven't taken it yet, you can learn more about it in the video below.

Simulcast! Simulcast!

I'm not sure why I had to write it twice in the title, but if felt right so I'm going with it.

Many of you may have had the chance to be a part of last weekend's "So Long, Insecurity" simulcast event or may have even been there.

But in case you missed it OR in case you loved it so much that you want to participate in another one before the year is over, I wanted to make sure that you knew there will be a Living Proof Live simulcast event on September 18th.

You don't want to miss it! After taking part in my first simulcast experience this past weekend, I can say that it's just as good as being there live and in person.

To find out more, click on this link to find out how your church can sign up to be part of the Living Proof Live simulcast.

LifeWay Women's Resource Update

Last Tuesday you may have seen Paige Greene's post about a LifeWay Women webcast that was scheduled for later that day. Hopefully some of you got to join the fun; but if you didn't, well, I have some mighty exciting news for you.

The AllAccess: LifeWay Women's Resource Update webcast has been archived, so you can tune in whenever it's convenient for you. You'll hear from Chris Adams, Pam Gibbs and Paige about all sorts of fun stuff that's coming up for LifeWay Women.

And don't miss all the other LifeWay Women archived webcasts. There's so much good stuff there that you could listen for hours, so be sure to stretch beforehand and stay hydrated. I'd hate for one of you to suffer from sort of webcast-related injury.

Hope y'all have a great week!
