So, this past weekend there were two different events going on. Beth Moore, Travis Cottrell and the Praise Team were down in Tampa, Florida for Living Proof Live and Vicki Courtney was in Dallas for a You and Your Girl Conference.

I attended with 9 other ladies from our bible study class here at Idlewild BC. This was my first time to hear Beth Moore and I was moved by her energy and life testimony.. that no matter where you been and what happened to you in the past…God will always be there to pick you up and will continue to hold you in His grip.

My daughter and I attended the YYG event in Dallas and had a wonderful time. For us, since my daughter is still rather young (9), it was just a chance to do something together. Just us. And it was great.

This was my first time “planning” the trip for our group. OH my. It was an absolute blast! Travis and Beth both did an amazing job leading us to the throne. Beth spoke on the topic of family and how even though we increasingly lack family in todays world, we still have a huge NEED for family - be it immediate family or church family…or both! No matter your family situation, we have family in our brothers and sisters in Christ! He has come to bring honor and dignity back to the family! Are we letting Him?
