My mama and I were talking on the phone a couple of weeks ago when she shared some news I wasn't expecting:
"Well, do you know what? Beth Moore is going to be here in Meridian in September!"
"Ma'am?"
"She is! She's going to be here. At First Baptist. And so is Travis!"
"Mama, are you sure? I mean, I don't know their schedules backward and forward or anything, but I think I'd have noticed if they were going to be in your neck of the woods."
"I'm sure! I saw it in the paper! And the church is even serving lunch!"
Then it dawned on me: it's the Living Proof simulcast. So I giggled and said, "Um, Mama? You're right. They will be there. Just on a really big screen. And you should absolutely go."
So Mama's going. And while she may not get to hug Beth's neck and present Travis with a pound cake, there's not a doubt in my mind that the teaching and the worship that she sees on that big screen are going to encourage her like crazy and bless her heart.
Sometimes I just want to give technology a big ole hug, don't you?

I am going to see Beth at Simpsonville (SC) First Baptist Church! 3 of my closest friends and I are celebrating my 50th birthday with ‘my friend Beth’ and ‘my friend Travis’…I can’t think of a better was to celebrate the ‘golden anniversary of the year of my birth’!! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for me on Saturday…and for this next season of my life!

LOVE LOVE LOVE how ya’ll are using technology!!! Online training - FANTASTIC!!!! This will be my first simulcast and I can’t wait!!!!
