Scripture Memory
Melanie - January 11, 2011
Okay, so we're probably mentioning this a little late. But Beth Moore is having a year long scripture memory challenge on her blog.
The goal is to memorize two scriptures a month for the next twelve months. I participated when she did this a year ago and it was so rewarding. And, in what can only be a testament to God's power, I still remember most of my scriptures.
Anyway, if you're interested in participating, it's not too late to sign up. Just click here for all the details.
And in case you're curious, here is the first verse I've decided to memorize this year:
"So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with things right in front of you. Look up and be alert to what is going on around Christ. See things from His perspective." Colossians 3:1-2 (The Message)

I got my Siesta Scripture Memory Team Spiral and am IN! After this week, I think I’m going to desperately need some verses internalized this year!
