Coming up: Secret Church simulcast

Sophie - April 18, 2011

The fact that the very first Secret Church simulcast is this Friday has had me thinking a lot about our church and our pastor and the fact that when he announced the first Secret Church a few years ago, I anticipated that maybe 16 or 57 people would show up to listen to him teach from the Bible for six hours.

As I've mentioned before, I'm not very accurate with predictions.

Ever since Radical came out, people who know where I go to church have been a lot more curious about what it's like to have David Platt as our pastor. And my answer is pretty simple: it's great to have David Platt as our pastor. It's always a good thing when a humble, servant-hearted, Gospel-centered, Truth-teaching preacher is in the pulpit. Many of y'all have similar leadership in your own churches, so you know what a blessing it is.

And now, thanks to the wonder of technology, I have a great new way to answer people when they ask me what it's like when David Platt is your pastor: this video. Because it's perfect.

I'd say that pretty much sums it up.

:-)

Have a great week, y'all!

Our Women’s Minstry team puts on a pancake breakfast the last Sunday of the month. Inbetween services we sit together and have secret church..since we have all read Radical. It has sparked some great ideas, challenges, and conversation.
