Living Proof Live in Lincoln, Nebraska!
Sophie - June 22, 2011
When I was a little girl, my daddy was quite the fan of a road trip. He still is, in fact; as I'm typing this he's on a tour bus somewhere between Texas and Arizona, taking in the scenery of the wild west with his brother, his sister and about 30 other people from my home state of Mississippi.
Thanks to Daddy's love of the road trip, by the time I graduated from high school I had visited about 20 of the 50 states. And as an adult, I've added 10 or 15 more states to the mix (I seem to have inherited the love-of-travel gene from my daddy).
However, tomorrow marks a first for me: I'm going to Nebraska. I've never been there before, and I'm just as tickled as I can be that I'm getting to visit Lincoln for Living Proof Live.
I don't know if America's heartland is ready for my Southern accent, but I sure am ready for America's heartland (I'm also ready to try some onion rings from Runza, but that's another post for another day, I reckon). I can't wait to worship with Travis and the praise team, sit under Beth's teaching and hopefully get to meet some of y'all.
So, how about a roll call? Are any of you planning to be in Lincoln this weekend?
