I am in love with all things Kelly Minter right now. I'm in the midst of her study of Ruth: Loss, Love and Legacy and it is challenging me in so many ways.
I couldn't find any of the Ruth songs on the Youtube, but I found this and adore it. Thought it might brighten your day.
We have some good friends who are expecting a baby any day now and they are secretly hoping it will be born on 11-1-11. And who can blame them? How cool is that date?
But even if the baby doesn't go with that plan, there is another reason to mark 11-1-11 on your calendar.
A James Facebook Launch Party! November 1, at 11 a.m. CST. Pam Case and Paige Greene will be hosting the show and Beth Moore is going to join us during the hour! We'll be showing exclusive video footage only available on the webcast show. We'll be giving away lots of stuff, too. Mostly, though, we'll be talking about this amazing new Bible Study and encouraging everyone to study James with us.

Logically I know that time moves at the same pace that it always has. It takes just as long for 365 days to pass as it did when I was a little girl, and a day is still made up of 24 hours. I know these things in my head. But SWEET MERCY it feels like time just flies by these days. One minute it's January 1st, and the next it's the middle of October and I'm looking around and wondering WHERE IN THE WORLD ALL THE TIME WENT.
Seriously. Time crawled when I was 12. And now I feel like I can barely keep up.
Anyway, I was thinking about the whole time thing the other day when I realized that there are just two more Living Proof Live events this year. It seems like last week that everybody was gearing up for LPL Tacoma, and now we're only about six weeks away from the 2011 line-up being completely finished.
So, if you haven't attended an LPL yet this year - or maybe if you have but would love just one more weekend of some solid Bible teaching and God-honoring worship - you have two more chances: Casper, Wyoming and Pensacola, Florida.
The LifeWay Women folks would love to see y'all at either (or both) (both?!) (now that would be something) of these events.
There's a great new LifeWay Women event coming up in 2012. It's called Abundance, and it'll feature the wonderful Lisa Harper as emcee/hostess and a rotating panel of speakers. The line-up will vary in each host city, but Vicki Courtney, Angela Thomas, Jennifer Rothschild, Angie Smith and Kelly Minter are some of the teachers, and worship will be led by either Anthony Evans, Travis Cottrell or Laura Story (check each event for details).
The very first Abundance will be in Houston, TX at Champion Forest Baptist Church, and it's sure to be a weekend of incredible Bible teaching and worship. If you live anywhere near Houston, Minneapolis, Atlanta or Greenville, SC, check out the Abundance dates and start making plans now!
