ABUNDANCE video contest!

If y'all are like me you've started off the new year with a few goals and/or resolutions depending on your terminology and level of commitment. And one of my goals is to get rid of all the excess in my life. Excess weight, excess stuff in the playroom we don't need, excess clothes that I never wear but take up space in my closet.

Because don't we all have an abundance of something we probably don't need?

And that's why LifeWay women came up with a fun contest.

Here's Lisa Harper, who will emcee and speak on our new ABUNDANCE events in 2012, to tell you more about it:

So, all of that to say, LifeWay Women is having a "My Abundance" Video Contest and we want you to send in a video of what you have (clothes, purses, books, commitments, etc.) too much of and tell us how you are going to lessen your load to make room for Christ in the New Year, as Lisa says, 'figuratively.' Just shoot a fun, creative, less than 90-second My Abundance video and follow the instructions on the link below under Phase 1.

Did we mention there are prizes? There are an Abundance of prizes! Grin. The Grand Prize winner receives an iPod Touch, (2) tickets to an Abundance event, a brand new Nehemiah Bible Study Kit by Kelly Minter, and a $200 donation to the Samaritan's Purse gift catalog item of your choice. (4) Runner-Up winners will each receive (2) tickets to an Abundance event, and a Nehemiah Member Book.

Phase 1 (Video submission) runs now until January 13th. Go to our contest page link to submit your video.

Phase 2 (Voting) runs from January 14th-January 20th. The public will select the finalists, and the finalist entries will be judged by a LifeWay Women panel on the basis of a creative and compelling message.

Phase 3 (Winner announcement) Grand Prize winner and 4 runner-up winners will be announced during our Abundance Live Web cast on January 24th (featuring Lisa Harper & some of our Abundance speakers) at 10am Central.

We can not wait to see your videos and we will be submitting ones of our own as examples so keep an eye out for those!
