Today, we've rolled out some great new music from Leonardo Bella and T.W. Hale, and two hymn arrangements from yours truly. These producers add greatly to the stylistic breadth of our site. T.W. Hale brings country influenced pop to our mix with songs "I Believe That He's In Me," "You'll Be There," plus two others. Leonardo's retro-folk groove provides a welcome Messianic perspective with "Oh Zion," "Let All Creation Sing," and the Beatlesque sing-along "My God the King." I myself am offering a contemporary acoustic treatment of the hymns "Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us" and "All Creatures of Our God and King." We hope these songs find their way into your heart and your worship music repertoire soon.

Question: What genres would you like to see added to LifeWayWorship.com?

By providing a way to download instrumental music one song at a time, Lifeway Worship is providing a service I've been wanting for several years. Our church is small and has no musicians, but still enjoys upbeat music. The only negative I can see so far is the treatment of traditional hymns. The music used is rather "hokie." I would like to see the traditional hymns put to modern music, but with "hymnbook arrangements" and a praise and worship sound rather than "pop." Many of the songs categorized as contemporary hymns are very close to what I am suggesting, but some of them mess too much with the melodies and get a little beyond the praise and worship style. But, other than that, praise the Lord for Lifeway Worship. It's the right project for the right time in our church.
Hi, David. Thanks for your comment. You might want to try to filter your searches by selecting the "Praise Chorus" checkbox. This might be that "praise and worship," but not quite "pop" sound you're looking for.
