Wednesday's Worship Leaders at Ridgecrest Worship Leadership Week are LifeWay Worship songwriters Dick and Mel Tunney. This husband and wife team have been making music together since their days in the Christian music group Truth, through the ministry of the group First Call and now in their own writing, singing and their own worship leadership training and consulting ministry.

Today, I'm so excited to roll out a new series called "Producer Profiles," where we interview our partners behind the music of LifeWayWorship.com. Today, I'm talking with Dan Schafer, producer of some of our country worship music.

At LifeWayWorship.com we use "version names" to help differentiate a song from among our 1,100+ titles. For each song displayed in the Search Results, the version name appears in the Version column. Most of our songs say "LifeWay" as part of the version name (e.g. LifeWay Worship Song). There are some, however that do not say "LifeWay." These songs are created and recorded by "outside" producers with whom we have a partnership.

One of these producers is Dan Schafer. Dan is from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and has been making music for a long time, including a stint as an RCA recording artist. Most of his career has been in the country music industry. He has played Letterman and the Opry for artists such as Lorrie Morgan and Shania Twain. We're thrilled to have him on our site. His material is labeled with the version name "Dan Schafer's Country Worship" and you can find all of his songs by simply typing "Dan Schafer" in the Find Music search box. I had the privilege of sitting down with Dan earlier this year and talking with him about his experience in country music and hearing his treatments of popular worship songs.
